so we have the same PRL 65061 ? This is a new updated PRL and I will call Verizon today.
I do not think it is the plan,I am on A verizon plan (unlimited for $99.99 plus data for $29.99)
I am a fan of, I hope Verizon figures this out.
Phone number ? not a fan as I came from Sprint to alltel to Verizon
Also "I'm keeping the phone and hoping for the best

Yes...65061 seems to be a problem PRL as this is a 'hybrid' prl that uses Alltel towers preferably as well as Verizon towers. I've tried to have the 51638 pushed out to me in order to test this theory as this prl is a 'verizon' prl. However, they try to push it out, and my phone keeps downloading the hybrid prl.

I have this escalated to the highest level of tech support after about 10 calls and repeated emails. NOW they say they are aware of this issue, that it is huge, and that they are trying to figure out a way to let the hybrid prl use the aGPS properly.

and..... i'm about 100% with you
thanks

I'm heading north on I-75 out of Tampa and two miles north of 275 my GPS begins functioning again. When I get to Ocala, I'll try the *228 option 2 and see if the PRL changes and if it makes any difference when I return on Sunday.

Here's hopin'.

why hasn't this problem been addressed by verizon yet?
verizon is HUGE in tampa
alltel in tampa was their biggest "coup" after the buyout
they have to know about this
the fix canNOT be that difficult
holiday weekend or not....
what is the freakin' deal

yes....that is a direct quote from someone in the tier II technical support that is handling my case (even working on Thanksgiving).

I'm sitting in a treestand in the Ocala National Forrest typing this with one eye while the other looks for Bambi's Dad. And yes, it is as painful as it sounds; I recommend using your fingers...

*228 option 2 did not change my PRL version even though I am roughly 2 hours north of home yet I can actually see the tree I'm sitting in (I think) on Google Maps and My Tracks.

It sure is awesome when it works.

Wiley bucks must sense the Droidic Presence. They're nowhere to be seen. :(

Here buckbuck, c'mere buckbuck...

P.S. It just occurred to me. I've got three bars and intermittent 3G. While hunting in the ONF. Gotta love that Verizon network. :)

Sorry, the network coverage is better out here in the forest than at the house. I'm not sure where SR19 is so I can't say for sure. My buddy and I are coming back tomorrow, early afternoon. We're staying at the house of a friend of his while we're here.

I sure wouldn't want to be biking this morning. It was in the 30's when we left the house at 6:30.
