I know that there is an issue with it but I have yet to see one where it is awake 100% of the time. Mine did not "sleep" one time last night.Read all the pages in this thread, it's a kernal issue...

Yeah that's pretty nuts lol. Mine is usually awake for half of the total time. Have you tried installing Watchdog so you could see which apps are running in the background? It keeps telling me FB is hogging up a lot of the CPU. So last night I turned off FB notifications and restricted background data in Settings-Data. I'll see if that makes any difference today. Tomorrow I may uninstall FB all together and see what happens.
Out of curiosity, those of you with 20+hrs of battery life, do you have FB installed?

If you're logged in and have notifications on, yes. However if you uninstall it then there is no way it can drain battery, at least to my knowledge...First of all even when you are not using the phone the background processes will eat battery - that is normal.
Secondly, I just uninstalled Facebook. If there is even a chance it's taking any battery I don't want it. I don't use it...
facebook on my tbolt with liquid 3.2 didnt drain any faster. I put the refresh to never in settings on that app always anyway.
I cant see this really being a huge issue...although its a possibilty I guess with the difference in OS and how it handles the app.
Hopefully fb updates the app to be more compatible with ics. If anything you can always get on fb from browser.
It only shows up as 2 percent on my batt stats screen.

I'm gonna try Friendcaster to see if it's friendlier - also to get better contact pics (as I've read it might do?)
I installed watchdog as you said and mine shows facebook way down on the cpu list. It's actually at 0% even though I've used it a few times today. I may still uninstall it and see if my battery differs tomorrow.Yeah same here. It's shows as a very small percentage of battery life, but it keeps throwing off Watchdog alerts as using the CPU a lot even though I haven't touched the app. Something is definitely fishy.
Why don't you try Restricting Background Data (Under Data Usage in Settings menu) for Facebook? Mine had a really high background data /foreground data discrepancy. Will see if helpsI installed watchdog as you said and mine shows facebook way down on the cpu list. It's actually at 0% even though I've used it a few times today.
