installed 1052 over 1041 and maps is in launcher and works fine.
went to market and it lists as installed too, calling this one good
I did do adb fix on maps on 1041.

only question I have is should I reapply market fix again or should it be ok?

The market fix changes the build.prop which the theme does not, so you should be fine. The only time you should need to do it again is if you reinstall froyo, wipe or not because it will replace /system which is where the build.prop resides.

thats what I had thought but for the life of me was not sure
figured safer to ask
probably going to take my friends phone from base froyo straight to 1052 and will apply fix then, will let you know how that goes too but it will be later this afternoon probaly.

Dont know about that MAP FIX in 1.0.5.2
Put that on, and now maps isnt installed, nor will it download correctly. Seems update broke that.

there is no map fix in this one.
do the adb fix just like you had to in 104 and 1041
this is what worked for me.

adb kill-server
adb root
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/Maps.apk
exit
adb uninstall com.google.android.apps.maps

Maps and Mototroch were working in 1.04.19running currently), just want to make sure before I update or not.

Maps is working fine, as well as Mototorch and the Market.

boot loop

I installed going into cw recovery and going to install .zip....after installing I am now stuck in a boot loop. what did I do wrong? Am I supposed to be using bb or is the standard 2.2 rom sufficient?

I used the standard 2.2 (2nd one) and not bugless beast.
install zip from sd card, choose zip, chose the one I d/l'ed.
