CyanogenMod 5.0.6.1

Am I missing something? With this update I'm unable to use the regular launcher (I got used to the slide motion on the regular one).

I've looked under settings>applications>filter by running, but I only see mention of one launcher & clearing the defaults on that doesn't bring back the choose default prompt.

I keep trying to do the update with Room manager but it wont install I keep getting an merror message.
is telling me that the zip is bad. installation aborted.

Help please.

does it matter what theme you are using when it comes to the YOUTUBE HQ by default option? because im using CM 5.0.6.1 w/ red rum 4.1 theme...but my youtube isnt HQ by default....any ideas? i want youtube HQ by default!! lol

have you tried reflashing clockwork mod

If the download failed you can use the clear cache function in rom manager to delete it an then it will download it again. If you did get a bad download and do not clear the cache it will use that file over and over. I have even seen cases where a dev updated a file and didn't give it a new revision so you wouldn't get it unless you did the clear. Have seen that happen in a while, they are getting good about it.

still having usb cable detection problems. should i recover without the usb plugged in? doing it now to see what the f is going on. this is a serious issue as i will no longer be able to download through usb, only charge.

ill be flashing back to UD to see if that fixes the problem. ill check back later to see if all of cyanogen's bugs have been fixed.
nevermind luckily i had another comp nearby and found i had to restart my computer. it wasnt the mod at all but its strange how it occurred.

1.) is it even neccessary??
2.) if it isnt neccessary...is it possible to revert back to unpartitioned?
3.) what do u think the chances are the dolphins will win the superbowl this year? 100%!!! go fins!!

ok first two questions are completely serious. just having fun with third question, of course.

Which kernel is in this latest version 5.0.6.1? It appears to be stock only up 600MHz, if so what kernel do you guys recommend for overcloking and are you using ROM manager to install them? Or getting them from Cyanogen website and using recovery to install?

The default is Bekits lowest kernel. I believe 600mhz as you've stated.

You'll have to test each kernel to see what works for you. What works for me, probably won't work for you. I'm using Bekits 1.2GHz LV.

And, yea I took the easy way out. If you like installing manually feel free to do it through recovery by downloading the original kernel's from the devs.

As for me, I've flashed my phone one too many times, I prefer the easy way now ;) I use ROM Manager, as it allows me to test each kernel at ease.
