CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2 Global [Beta]

Hey guys.. Just did a fresh install and installed the keyboard and sensors fix.. Two things, how do I get the market app and google app to sync my contacts?

Thanks very much for this port of CM7!

One unmentioned problem, I have no outgoing audio using a Jawbone Era BT headset.

I can hear music from the D2G, I can hear the other party during a phone call, they can't hear me.

The device can hear my voice commands no problem.

2 questions:

1- Anyone know how to add the hardware keyboard's spell checker back into GMail?

2- How about the blur (or similar) timer?

Thanks for any help!

the bluetooth thing is a known problem

1. thats a bug, hasnt been looked into though seeing as how the devs are hard at work trying to fix other major bugs like gsm not working and camera being mirrored, but im sure theyll get to it eventually

2. you need blur to run it, so no you cant install it.

Got the goog apps working.. My biggest problem now is everything keeps crashing like the market and it gives me the Sorry error and force close errors. Anyone know a way to resolve this?

i dont know if this was mentioned or not, or if it even matters.

try to do a full SBF before you flash CM7, and even then make sure to wipe data/cache and/or factory reset as well as wipe cache before flashing. redundancy never hurts, and wiping multiple times pretty much fixed all my problems after the second attempt to flash. I have no errors aside from the mentioned issues that everyone has (BT, dsp FC's on calls, the mirrored camera and batt drain basically).

I came from full stock as I was keeping it that way while waiting for the GB update. again i dont know if it matters much but how many of us came from a phone which had been flashed over multiple times without ever returning to stock via an SBF? I noticed many times that problems can arise from jumping through roms like I did weekly without sbfing....

Anyone got a working SBF file for the Droid 2. I tried the Cynogenmod it worked for bit but no market even though I installed it. I tried reinstalling but never worked after that. Got the motorola M loop.
I tried to SBF my phone and now I get a an error not even a M loop. Good thing I tried all of this on a used D2 that is just for experimenting.

To move back to stock I booted to CM7's recovery, wiped data, cleared cache, then restored from the nandroid backup I created before moving from stock.

Now I have some new strangeness like gps losing lock and screen lockups during calls.

Would it have been smarter to flash the sbf and then restore from my nandroid backup? Or, did I move from CM7 to nandroid backup (stock) the right way, and just bad luck with the strangeness?

Camera works, just gotta screw around with image size a bit (move to widescreen and back to 5mp a few times), and then switch to and from camcorder. I usually get it unmirrored after the 1st or second switch to and then from camcorder. It sticks in both modes after that until you exit the camera app.
Sent from somewhere in a strangereal world.

When you say you were testing..did you test the d2g cm on the droid2?

And sbfing did you use the correct file...

Easy mistake i almost made once.
