CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2 Global [Beta]

Just thought I would mention that I am getting just fine battery life. If anyone is not sure if they want to try cm7, just go for it. The camera is the only thing for me making it not perfect, but im ok with that, I could just mirror them back later on my computer if I need to. Good luck!

What is your battery life like? I was running cm7 and went from a full charge to 60% overnight with no use. I switched up to Hexen and I only lose 10% overnight, but I also installed and ran a battery calibration. I was wondering if that may have helped me with cm7. I like Hexen but I liked cm7 too. Not to mention that netflix worked while on cm7. I would go back but would like to know what you consider 'just fine battery life'

Stuck on M logo

so while trying to flash cm7, coming from hexen rom I got stuck on the M logo. I tried to wipe cache but to no avail I had to sbf, But while sbf'n, when it rebooted and I was supposed to manually power up the phone it seems as if it rebooted itself and the droid guy came up to activate phone. So I unplugged phone from pc and finished activation, when I tried to close out rsd, it said it was still in progress and could mess device up. But phone was activated already. It missed a whole procedure. not sure why this did it that way but Im confused. It happened twice while tryin to sbf. any reasons why this may have done that? Not my first time sbf'n very comfortable with that.

I'm not sure why, but I remember last week I sbf'd and mine did the same thing.

I have used it for 14 hours and have 20% left. I did moderate web browsing and music streaming over bluetooth. I also forgot to mention i have an extended battery...sorry forgot I even had it
I suggest getting an extended and doing cm7. I dont even think about my battery any more.

I flashed the zip from page 53 on rootzwiki to speed up my 3G and after did now my speeds are worse! Please help!!

Well after i sbf back to stock, i rooted, downloaded bootstrap, went to clockwork mode wiped cache and tried to flash cm7 rom. I will not flash it keeps aborting. So i redownloaded from megaupload and same result. Any ideas why this may be happening?

I am wondering the same thing. I mean, if the camera issue gets resolved and cm7 has at least the same battery life as stock then I will give it a try. Also, is there a way to get the same stat bar theme as GB? If this happens then I will go for it. Just sayin...

still having problems

Well I sbf'ed for the fourth time trying to install cyanogen rom. redownloded from mega upload and the mirror site. My phone just doesnt want to flash this rom. Zip from megaupload always aborts and the mirror site zip flashes but gets stuck on the cm7 bootloader sreen. any ideas? im gonna sbf again and start all over, but might go back to hexen if I cant figure it out

well after continuous reading, I went into bootloader screen, and wiped data. CM7 is now booted, but my screen is inverted. the dock is on the top of the phone upside down. I am sure I read something about this. will go back to rootzwiki website and try to find the problem. Thanks for the help

lmao! No, I didnt flash any other zips. I thought that once we got to build 7 all of the fixes were incorperated into the new zip file. I was under the wrong impression. I am back to stock again. Going to start over from scratch. Thanks 13th Angel... for the laugh, Im sure you were going too help me get through this! Also, the only problems with this rom is the camera, camcorder and wifi? Am I correct?

I have been running Cyanogen on my OG Droid for years, and have missed many of the features since I got my d2g. Thank you so much for putting this together! It has been running very smooth for me since I installed it last night. I am getting Quadrant scores above 2500 which is my personal best. Well done 13th angel and whoever is making this happen!

13th Angel love the rom.. I finally got it working. Do you havr any ideas why the netflix hack doesnt work? I thought it worked for this rom.
