alright will do thanks!

Finally figured out a band-aid fix to the network location issue on v3.1.

I went ahead and did a full wipe and flashed Sapphire, booted up, logged in, synced up, hit recovery and flashed MIUI over without a wipe.

Now when I select Network Location on/off I get the accept/decline dialog box and Network Location works flawlessly, but my Launcher crashes upon reboot. I guess it's the lesser evil (launcher would crash anyways upon removing from the dock).

So what you're saying is that at this juncture the only way to get this ROM to work properly is to install on top of another ROM.

::sigh::

I guess I'm going to be re-alphabetizing my home screen apps yet again.

Just use TB and backup Launcher 2.2. After you get all your apps back, restore it, then BAM, your screens are back.

Interestingly enough, for any of you MyBackupPro users out there, backing up "Android Home" in MyBackup works for backing up home screens on Miui as well. I didn't think it would but I just tested it and it worked like a charm. It didn't back up my widgets but that's no big deal.

After you boot MIUI and before you do anything at all. Go right into settings - Applications - Manage Applications - All - Scroll to Contacts and select, force stop - Contact Storage and select Clear Data - Contact Sync Adapter, select force stop.... Scroll to Google Services Framework, select force stop then clear data.

You do this before you sign in to your google account? If so, then how do you get your apps to load?

So what happens if I just install this over V2 ( Installed over SS4.8 )? Seems like an ideal situation or am I mistaken?
Also, does V3 have the Zenito theme? I'm not gonna install unless it does. I love all the black and the transparent pull down. Tried a couple of other themes and just couldn't get past the gray pull down.

Thanx gang.

Atticus is the man! helped me power through my first ROM installation and i love miui so far. me >>:hail: Atticus >>:lifting: lol thanks again.

I did an install over V2 that was installed over SS4.8 no problems at all. As for the themes, I only think the 2 you see in this forum are the ones that are out for v3

So... Black with transparent shade then? Sorry, just wanna be sure what I'm installing.

Thanx for your time and feedback.

wow this is sick!!! where does the leaf lock screen go once you change it? its not located with the other available lockscreen wallpapers. i can't wait to show this off at work. :D

Didn't see anything in the OP.

I can't get Gmail to sync automatically. I can manually sync fine, but it just won't sync by itself.

I tried with a clean install as indicated in the OP and I tried installing over Sapphire. I didn't have this issue with Bgills themed version.

Any ideas?
Bob

Ok Seems that the notification sound was cleared and once I did set a sound it started working. Weird!!! Wouldn't even show up in the notification bar before!

Having had these problems myself you need to do the stuff in red just after you log in to google and get everything set up. Just as soon as the rom is starting do that!
