I am so NOT a techie and wondering if I am way in over my head with my Droid purchase!! I have had it 3 days and finally have figured out how to 1. answer a call, 2. make a call, 3. send a text.
Somehow I have held down some of my home buttons too long and now they are on my home screen several times -- i.e., two calendar buttons, one "car home" whatever that is, 2 gallery (with nothing in them!). How do I delete them? Is there anywhere with a REALLY simple FAQ area for beginners???

Longtime reader, first time poster.
I'm not new to smart phones, having had a BBerry and Palm prior to my Droid. But this definately beats the pants off those! It's just so easy to get sidetracked at work with everything that this phone can do! I keep installing new apps (and removing a few) that I read about and have to try!

Hi Judi - newbi here as well - same was happening to me too LOL - don't feel too bad - but all you have to do is - hold one of the buttons you don't want on your home screen until it changes color to gold - then drag it down to the bottom to the trash can - when is red you can let go - it will return to the pull up screen thing just fine.

Newbie to Site and Newbie to the Droid

Hello everyone. I must say that what pulled me to this site is the fact that after I bought my Droid, I went home.. went to sleep and woke up to no contacts..( I had already given my old phone away.) In a panic and not knowing what to do, I jump up kicked the bottom of the bed.( i think i broke my toe..(insert swear words)..) Ran to the computer and typed in lost contacts in my droid. and Bam.. Here was this forum. What a life saver. I will now forever be a fan of this site.

Hi Everyone,

I've been using the Droid phone since January and I couldn't be happier with it (well I guess if it had flash I could be a bit happier). I run a rooted phone with droidmod v1.0, but hoping to switch to the ROMs on Rom Manager as soon as I can figure out a few issues.

Hopefully I'm able to learn all I can from all the knowledgeable people on the forums!

Droid and confused

Greetings-

I am from the NE and just purchased a Moto Droid and love it. I am kinda techie but. I plan to spend a great deal of time on here as i have load the "Remote RDP" app by Walter Yongtao Wang and can not connect to any of my PCs. Not sure why. Does anyone have a software manual or a link or can point me in the correct direction to resolve this issue. Thank You in advance for any and all responses.

Just found this forum. I'm a middle-aged technology lover who owns a Droid after having a Devour 3 days and taking it back. I love my Droid more than any phone I've ever had. Wanted to sign up here so I don't miss anything.

Had the Droid for about a month now. Wondering what took me so long to get one. Was holding out for that crapple product, but the wifes BB broke and she needed a new phone. We got the buy one get one free deal at Verizon, and boy am I happy.

It's fun to show your crapple owning friends cool stuff the Droid can do and then just watch them try and come up with some reasoning about how theirs is better.

I find new things out everyday about this thing. My only regret....Not getting one sooner!!
