Hey Droid Nation! Just picked up my phone 3/29 (two days before the end of the BOGO promotion). Really waivered between this and the Palm Pre. I appreciate everyone that has posted to this site. I am hoping to learn as much as possible about the phone.

I had the Storm and was unhappy with the typing touch screen and had problems of the phone locking up 2-3 times a day. I got my droid today and so love it. So far so good, the set up was quick and no problems encountered yet. However, the day is not over yet.

New to Droid

I've never possessed a smartphone of my own until today. I wasn't too keen on paying $29.99 a month for some internet on a cell phone, but seeing as Verizon and other topnotch companies are going 3G and using data plans and what not, I'd decided I have no choice and that I may as well go all out and buy a phone I'll be deeply satisfied with. Hope this community can answer all of my questions as I will be doing my best to answer some myself after I've got it all figured out.

Dave here, I've had my Droid now for a couple months but I just rooted 3 days ago. It's like a whole new phone!! I'm very new and don't understand much, but I'm learning everyday. Thanks to everyone in advance for all the help and dealing with silly questions!!

Happy Easter

Hello all from the newbie. I'm Caro and just got my Droid last month. I really enjoy it especially since I can use it to go geocaching! I am a preschool teacher in a private school and am currently on Easter vacation. Got the new Droid updates but had questions cause I may have deleted something I shouldn't have...oops.

Hello, new here. Im just a regular old dude stuck on shiny electronics. Nice to find a forum close to my heart.After many hours/days/weeks of research I have finally ordered a Droid. I own an ipod and was swinging towards the iphone but talked myself right out of it. I have spent many voyueristic hours on this forum(before I joined) and got a lot of great info that helped with my decision and I thank all of you. Now that im a member I promise to read through the posts to see if my answer is there before I ask it. Anyway thanks again and cant wait to get my Droid and let you all know how I like it....

Hi, got my Droid in January and have been lurking in the shadows ever since :icon_eek: Have learned so much - want to thank you all. Got tired of not being able to see the embedded pictures :icon_evil: and decided to come in out of the cold.

Hello there fellow Droid users I switched from an iPhone to a Droid about three weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the switch. I love the Android opperating system, and I love the custimization features the Droid has that the iPhone lacks.

just wanted to introduce myself and say that i'm excited to see what possibilities there are with the droid and what's coming next in the future for the droid. I've been looking into rooting my droid but currently have android 2.1 so i understand i have to wait a little bit. With all of the great information and great community here though i'm sure that once 2.1 root is found we'll know how to do it and the problems and success other users have rooting 2.1. cheers everyone!
