Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

This may be a dumb question, but I flashed an ICS build (6.7.2233.XT875.Verizon.en.us) a short while back, and my battery life dropped quite a bit. Will the OTA release from Verizon (when finally released) update this or do I need to roll back to 902(?) or other using this procedure?

Flashing any leak takes you off the ota path. The updates are designed to update the last official release... Not leaks. In order to install the ota you will need to be on 905. Because you are on ics I don't recommend going back to 905 and keeping data. In other words you're looking g at an fxz back to 905 and either restoring apps from a backup or installing them clean. The HoB has fxz support built in should you need it.

Well, I think the time has come. I've been riding along on .2233 for a couple of months now and was perfectly content with holding out for OTA, but I'm leaving town for the weekend and wanted to bring along my lapdock instead of my heavy and huge laptop. Webtop 3.0 isn't functional on that build, and Nova quits out on me constantly, so it looks like it's time to move forward.

Planning on giving this method a try later today. Just wanted to confirm before I go ahead, as I've been out of the loop for a little while - .232 is the last build we're still able to move backwards on, correct? From what I've heard, that build is plenty good enough to hold me over until OTA, so I'd rather not mess around with something else.

That's correct. 232 is the last build you can fxz down from. You shouldn't have any problems using the INSTALL 232 option.

yes, go with 232 - yet to hear a compelling functional reason to go beyond - been working great for me since it appeared

Just finished downloading and installing all the necessary components, and I'm giving my phone a good charge before I move forward, but I have a quick question. Forgive my ignorance here, but I was checking through the contents of each install, and I noticed that the 232 folder includes the .905 update, but nothing labeled .232. Am I missing something? Do I still need to download the .232 from elsewhere, or am I good to go?

I've got the following installed...

SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_(5.0).exe
SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_COMPONENTS_(1.0).exe
SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_(232).exe

and the Moto drivers, of course.

Whoops, sorry, I forgot to mention, I did see the 232 in parentheses, it's just the 905 in the main portion that threw me off. Just being cautious!

You're apparently not familiar with motorola naming conventions. That's NOT the 905 update. If it were, it'd be named 902. ;)
