Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

Can I just sbf back to .905 and then Download the .242 leak and install it? I do understand that there is no going back from there. But if it's that stable..

232 leaked Bionic

Ok, real quick and probably real stupid question. I don't recall seeing this in the numerous pages, but, upon starting the process of using HOB to go from 2233 to 232, do I select Option 1 to "Install 232" or do I select Option 3 to "FXZ 905 - Keep Data" first. I assume FXZ first and then 232, but I'm not 100% sure.

5.5 RELEASED

Small bug fix release to clean up some bugs I found while working on the House of Razr. You'll notice some of the text in the menus has also changed. For example, I removed 235+ warnings. That doesn't mean those warnings don't apply...see the OP. However, I'm trying to make the House a bit more unified so that eventually we can have a House of Moto to support D4/RAZR/Bionic. I'm currently a long way from that goal but these changes are to make it cleaner. Plus we're getting closer to an OTA for ourselves, and soon the 235+ warnings won't matter since we'll all be on the OTA with hopefully a new ICS FXZ.

Also something of note. I'm going to be taking down the 235 and 238 support installers today. At this point those that need them already should have them (or know how to add support for them anyway) and it just clutters things up. I really only want to support 232 and 242 at this point.

Good point. No reason to keep the earlier builds for either "generation" of these leaks.

Just do the INSTALL 232 option . No need to FXZ first. The INSTALL 232 option will take care of cleaning up your phone so the update will install properly. Just don't skip any steps.

Yup. Those that need them should have them or can request them if absolutely necessary. I actually took them off my hosting site but I know someone who's mirroring them if needs be. Really, anyone 235+ should be on 242 at this point. Otherwise what was the point of going to 235+ to begin with? :D

Sweet. Thanks boss. Been reading this thread for a couple weeks and finally decided that I've read enough and it's time to bite the bullet.

I appreciate you've taken the time to read and are sticking with 232 to get your feet wet. Let us know if you run into any trouble.

Yeah, I learned my lesson on not being prepared some months ago when Sarge was mis-informed with an update, put it on the forums here, and then myself and some others got stuck off the OTA path for a while. but, it's all good now. I waited some time before updating from 905 to 2233 as well. And after reading this post and a bunch of others, there ain't no way I'm going 235+.

I don't blame you. I honestly thought I'd have a new phone in July which is why I went 235 and didn't care. Then come to find out the phone I wanted to get was a unicorn. Kinda left me in an ugly place but it's motivated me to improve upon the House of Bionic and now the House of Razr so it's not all bad. The fact that someone used the HoB to update their 238 install to 242 before I even know 242 was out just impresses the hell out of me. It means I made the HoB a truly useful tool and that makes me incredibly happy. My mission has been to give back to the community that helped me when I bricked my Bionic. And I think with a few exceptions, for the most part, that's been successful.

Well, looks like everything went smoothly. Thanks for all the help boss.

Well here I sit with HOB installed ready to go, I've put off going above .232 just because there has been no end to the devolpment cycle for ICS so far.:)
The thing is now I'm getting a itchy trigger finger and I really don't want to have to set everything back up from scratch.
I guess my main questions are

1. How stable is .242 using this method to keep data? I ask because .232 didn't do well at all restoring data using TB and ended up doing a FDR anyway.

2. Just want to verify Blur_Version.5.9.905.XT875.Verizon.en.US(67242).zip is the name of the file the script is looking for on the SD card because I saw something about it getting renamed by accident when .242 was first added correct?

3. what I believe is going to happen in my case is HOB is going to copy the .242 file to Ext SD, Launch RSD, put me in fastboot mode and FXZ me back to .905 using the non data loss .905 fxz file, then flash .242 in recovery, or something along those lines. Just verifying ahead of time, thanks!

All the minor bugs with the script had been fixed by the time I installed last night. Yeah, you've got the right file. You're not ever going to be happy backing up and restoring with TB until they get it optimized for ICS. It's been said enough in this thread. Go get rom toolbox pro from playstore, best $3 or whatever you'll ever spend, 22 root tools in one app. Back up apps/app data only, no system, and do an FDR as soon as the install completes and then restore. If you're rooted on 232 you shouldn't even need to unroot/reroot, I forgot to last night and it came thru just fine.

Yep, I sprung for Rom tool box. While it and TB share some common features both do totally different things and both are a must have in my book. I didn't even think about unrooting first but removed OTA root keeper and safestrap, I guess I'll do this tomorrow morning!
