Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

It changes nothing. Without a USB cable you ain't changing a thing....OTA or not. Yes, battery life is vastly improved in the latest updates. I just did a factory reset today on 242 so we'll see how that goes. It takes a day or two to settle down. I also disable a TON of crapware. Like almost 20 things are either uninstalled or disabled.

I've clearly stated that. Those on 232 should stay on 232. Those on 235 or 238 should be moving to 242. And if you're on 235 or 238 then you had better already have the support for those added into the HoB. Hence, they have been removed.

Sorry didn't see that:happy3:

Moved from 238-242 tonight

A few notes on my experience...
Again I had trouble getting past my firewall and had to disable Norton on my PC
After installing latest moto driver, had to restart PC to find my phone
Instructions in OP IMO are much more comprehensive for average user to follow start to finish then in older versions of HoB

Great job Samuri and THANKYOU!!

Ahh, I just figured out I can disable those spamware apps! Is .242 like .235/238 where you can't go back to .905?

Quick question... (and I admit to NOT reading all 199 pages of this post!)

I am on .232 and rooted. Do I need to FXZ back to .905 prior to installing .242? I believe I already know the answer (I have to FXZ because all ICS builds need to start there), but am just confirming.

Thanks in advance for your help!

What is the House of Bionic?

- Push the update zip to your sdcard-ext

o) PLEASE leave the update for the version you're installing on your sdcard-ext. It's required by the REINSTALL option in case you can't boot your phone.

Nice little app you have created here Samuri. Thank you for your efforts. It worked as advertised and all is well on my Bionic.

However, exactly where is the copy of the update stored on my sdcard-ext? I followed all the steps in sequence and upon checking my sdcard-ext, I don't see anything that is identified as being .242.

If it's not there, can I just copy it out there manually?

Thanks!

You followed all the steps? And checked for errors on each step? Cause step _1_ on the second menu pushes it to your /sdcard-ext partition. And it does an md5 hash check so if it's not there or doesn't match you are told so on the screen.

Yes, I got the message that stated it had copied and the hash check had matched.

I have some files in the root of the sdcard-ext named: Blur_Version.5.9.905.to.6.7.232.XT875...

OOPS, my bad... there it is! Seems my file manager was truncating the file named: Blur_Version.5.9.905.XT875.Verizon.en.US(67242).zip

I apologize for not being more thorough and for wasting your time. Mea culpa...

Thanks so much Samuri for the awesome script. Finally on 232. Hopefully it's short lived with a possible soak test coming. But at least I don't have to jump on right away if I choose not to. Had a couple issues, but I am living proof that if you just go back and READ (but I already read it once....) it will just work! Thanks for all your patience :-)
