Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

LOL. The HoB has served many people well I think. I get the updates from fairly trusted sources (ROFLMAO) so we should be good. ;)

I had to share this.... I removed his user name because I just don't have the heart to bash him this bad publicly... Oh and this is to get data working on the JB roms

[quote timestamp='1346607399' post='7316']I didn't get data on boot, but if you want to try the airplane mode toggle method, you may be able to get it up. Not sure off this will work for everyone, but if you want to try:

Toggle Airplane Mode ON, then OFF in Wireless and Network Settings.

Then go to Mobile Network and make sure you are on GSM only.

Go back to Network Settings by hitting "Back" button and toggle airplane mode on and off several times as fast as you can.

Then as quickly as possible, go into Mobile Network and select LTE/CDMA/EVDO/WCDMA. Then hit home button.

If you don't succeed after those steps, you can try toggling the LTE Toggle in your Notification bar to ON.

Many of you probably know of this method, but just figured I'd share for those who don't.

I hate to say it but I have seen and heard some ridiculous things in my 32 years but this just made all those things seem very normal. You sir have taken the top spot in the world of redundancy and nonsense and for that your user name will now always be synonymous with my erroneous thoughts...

I scrolled through but did not see anything about this. I'm on 242 and made a nanodroid backup on 232. What would happen if one was to restore the backup on 242?

Not recommended. Would it "work"? Probably. But, it could just as easily cause MASSIVE problems. Definitely don't do it.

Without having reread the entire thread I'm gonna ask a question that you've probably answered 50x already ( my apologies in advance). To move from .232 to .242 all I need to do is update my HOB.exe to the new HOB with .242 support ? Or is there more to it ?

Was that while running stock 232 or a rom? And had you restored any system data? That is usually caused by restoring contacts/call log or any of the dialer components... if not cool but the 232 software isn't the culprit... there are at least a couple hundred of us running it stock and otherwise and that is not an issue that has shown its face...just sayin like the OG version of Ice Cube said "chickety-check yo self before you wreck yo self"

I was on stock 232 since it was released. 232 was very solid for me other than just a few querky things.
As for the "instant power off when answering a call", like I said it was very random and only happened a few times. I don't think it was contacts/call logs, etc... as I had many many calls from the same contacts that worked fine. Also, I'm not saying 232 was the problem. It was probably just my install, sun spots, ghosts, but a re-install was on my list to try and fix it and rather than re-install 232, I figured I would take a chance on 242.

Read the op and download the 242 support installer.

OK so i downloaded and installed everything. When I run hob it says it's pushing update, then it tells me MD5 hashmarks don't match and stops.
I've already downloaded the hashmark programs from the OP what do I do now ?

So what I ended up doing was pushing the update zip (.242) manually to my sd card then skipped step 1 and started the hob at step 2 and then proceeded down the list . Everything went fine until the last step of repairing the AP fastboot . It said the files weren't there . I tried it twice then exited the program . The phone seems fine I'm now running .242 and all previous data and settings are there. Do I need to go back in and complete the last step? If so where do I find the missing files. I've got a feeling that has something to do with manually pushing the update zip.

I think you only need to repair the AP fastboot if you're having a problem with it, it's not one of the required steps.
