Check the 238 directory in the House of Bionic...does it have an update zip in there with 67238 in the filename? Does it have a boot.img in there?

I realize that the discussion goes on after I post, like you don't realize I'm here, however, if there is anymore flaming/browbeating in this thread it will be closed/deleted indefinitely. We appreciate Sam's work, but we attempt to maintain a "friendly" atmosphere here, and for about the past 20 pages, its been dodgy at best.

Let's keep it in play, and conduct ourselves in an appropriate manner.

Thank you,

I completely agree with your assessment I completely over reacted which is why I asked you to Reconsider Closing the Thread and by the way I "Never" asked for it to be Closed. Anyway I apologize to Sam and the thread it was not intended to become what it became.

Thank you. I appreciate the response. I would also recommend to you that you may have to wait for the OTA to come out officially before taking your phone to VZW for them to look at. Given that it's got the speakerphone issue with both 238 and 242 it seems very likely to be a hardware problem at this point.

Need some help. Tried to move from .232 to .242.

o) Have you read EVERYTHING in this post?
Yes, multiple times. First time to use HOB though went to .232 the easy way from .905

o) What version were you on when you started?
.232

o) What version are you trying to install?
.242 Installed version 5.6, component 1.0, and .242 support and checked with MD5. Also installed latest moto driver before getting started.

o) What option did you pick on the first menu?
Chose option 1 Install 242

o) What options did you go through on the second menu?
1-4

o) What error messages did you receive/happened?
In step 4, after choosing the new 242 blur version (I still have .232 on sd card too), I got the following error

qe 1/1
Install /sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

Never been rooted, so not sure why the qe 1/1. That is the new root counter, right?

o) Post the contents of the SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic\rsd\SWDL.txt file
Okay, after going to copy this txt file, it looks like there were maybe errors in this process i did not notice. Have to admit that the computer did not have my full attention during the RSD step.

Have no idea what to do at this point to keep from messing things up. Any advice appreciated.

Log looks good. It seems like the update on the sdcard didn't copy correctly. You're sure you selected the 242 update and not the 232 by mistake? If so then the 242 update needs to be re copied to the sdcard. Since the phone is in a state that won't boot you'll have to do this manually by pulling the sdcard out of the phone and putting it in another device so you can see it in windows. I recommend verifying the hash on the update using something like Hashtab. Once you know the update is on there correctly, put the sdcard back in and install it from recovery. Don't forget to wipe the cache after it installs but before rebooting from recovery.

Thanks, all the "ERROR" language in the log had me concerned. I am sure that I installed 242 because there was no option for 232. I will see if I can use my old phone to reinstall the Blur_Version.5.9.905.XT875.Verizon.en.US(67242).zip file to the sd card, verify the hash, and try it.

thanks again!

Okay, fortunately the old blackberry tour didn't explode when I charged it or when I cranked it up with the 16GB sd card installed. Turns out the hash was correct in the HOB directory on computer, but did not get pushed correctly to sd card. That will teach me... Drag and drop to sd worked and hash matched on sd. Installed without aborting...wipe cache...reboot...wait...up and running -- no problems.

thanks

No one is being forced to use HOB or ask for support, the developer has every right to get a bit testy at times, not a happy camper with Droidforums right now.......
What ticks me off is the unlikely possibility of some Droidforums users being stuck on a locked ICS build that's off the upgrade path cause of the actions of a Droidforums MOD..
