Wow. It's odd that u ended having all those problems due to ur. 2ghz increase when a couple other people have oc'd their's up to 1.3 and claim stability. At least u were one of the lucky ones that had their Bionics receive the increase. Mine stayed at 1.0. Nevertheless, glad u got ur problem fixed.

Yea, I had a feeling that might be the case which is why I said that would probably be the next thing to try. I'm glad you were able to try it out and that it seems to work for you. Hopefully that'll help others who find themselves in similar situations. Just goes to show these issues aren't as easy to diagnose and fix as people would like to believe. It's far too easy to jump to the "this update sucks" conclusion when the reality is far more complicated.

All phones are different. They all react different. It could be a heat issue caused by the increase in speed. Who knows. But at least we now have another possible thing for people to try. Being in the PC world for so many years, and knowing that ICS ups the speed for some, that was one of my first thoughts when he said he was having random reboots.

Yeah, CPU speeds are touchy. I noticed that a long time ago when I was heavier into the mod stuff. You wouldn't think it would matter, that .2 increase, but it sure did on mine. After some time with it, I may give it another shot at 1.2 and see what happens. And yes, people are always quick to jump to conclusions and just say it's crap. I knew it had to be something simple, just hadn't had the time to mess with it much. I am just happy to have a useable phone again, ICED to 244 and rooted to boot! Thanks for all your hard work on this SamuriHL. It is much appreciated.

No problem at all. I'm very glad we were able to sort out your issue and potentially help others so a win win all around. :) Enjoy it!

On gingerbread i could Run 1.5ghz but only with the gpu at 512mhz, everything was stable, but the graphics were sluggish, very sluggish and I'm assuming its because i couldn't change the gpu voltage to support the massive jump.

On ics i can still get 1.5 but it only has the performance as if i had capped it to 600 mhz
ICS Droid Bionic.

Yea, it's a tricky black art. I'm personally glad Moto took the initiative to try it. But, even some that pass their script that does a check on boot up for 1.2 compatibility, it doesn't mean it'll always run stable. I suspect once we get OTA and more people are running it, we'll see people with similar issues. Hence why I added a FAQ entry for it.

Could that be the reason for verizon holding up 244 as the ota? Seems plausible.

No. They're hell bent on flash working and supposedly some "security issues" whatever the hell that means.

I'm not a tech guy at all but from what I understand this little dancing droid is flash dancedroid? Well if that's the case , then flash works just fine on my phone currently running 242? Now go ahead and tell me I'm an idiot and there is more to flash than that.

You're an idiot and there's more to flash than that. OHHHH, you wanted more of an explanation than that?! :D ROFLMAO! The issue is apparently when doing full screen flash websites I guess. I don't have it installed on any of my mobile devices so I couldn't tell you. But there is some issue with flash in full screen that apparently causes problems.

LOL! I'm good. I did all the updating that it's going to get this week. :)

Be careful with what you say!
I asked my Magic 8 Ball if My Bionic will get another ICS leak this week ? It said "Most likely" . Seeing as it's anyone's guess at this point I'm going with my trusted Magic 8 Ball !

2 things. First, I'm gone for 4 days starting Thursday night, so, I can guarantee that I won't do another update to the HoB this week. :) Second, no update to the HoB is required to support a new leak. All you gotta do is use my naming convention...i.e. add (6724x) to the end of the filename...create a 24x directory, drop it in there, and run the HoB. It will prompt you for creating a new boot img. And when you're done rooting it, you can pull the recovery.img from your phone, as well. All the "update installers" do is add those 3 files to a 24x folder in the HoB for you.
