Yea, it's doing a lot of processing. It's not abnormal to get a little hot as a result.

Attempting to go to 247 from 232. Get to the step apply update from external storage, select 247 and it gets as far as installing update and then it fails and I get e:error in/tmp/sideload/package.zip. I'm sure I screwed something up but reading through the FAQ and other instructions I'm not seeing what exactly...

That'd probably be a pretty big clue. Notice how there's nothing being flashed there? RSD isn't seeing your phone. Fix it. See my FAQ if you're totally lost on how to do so.

AP Boot flash mode (s) (flash failure)

Is there anyone on-line who can help me. I tried using the HOB to for ICS 232, phone said install from SD card complete, I clicked on the reboot option and now I'm stuck on the ap fastboot screen - flash failure. What do I do now? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Use the Repair option under the 232 option on the HoB menu.

Looks like I'm having ice cream sandwich for dessert tonight! It worked! All of it! All of my apps are there, even my screensaver with my kids' picture on it. The HOB process was just as easy as everyone said it would be. I won't sleep a wink tonight I'm so happy. Thank you, thank you for all of the time and energy put into this and enabling a newbie like me to get this leak. I wasn't sure I had the nerve to try this, but when I went on Motorola's website, the Bionic isn't even listed yet the Pro is?! I've lost confidence that Moto or Verizon will honor ICS in Q4. I'm sticking with 232 for now and if the company fails us, maybe I'll be brave enough to move to 247. Thanks again. :biggrin:

Don't lose faith in Moto. This will very likely be our OTA. It was SUPPOSED to be 246 but they snuck this in at the last minute and it's a VERY good thing. Enjoy it!
