RSD flash looks good. What is the full text of the error 7 you're getting in recovery when attempting to flash the 247 update? You're selecting the CORRECT update zip, yes?

There we go. That was the information we need. Ok, this gets ugly but fixable. We've run into this before. Are you SURE your battery was fully charged when you started this? Cause we never figured out what caused this for the one other person who had this issue...but that was my guess. Anyway, you're going to have to do the following:

o) 247 option
o) Repair AP Fastboot ERROR
o) Shut the phone off
o) While holding volume down, press power (This puts you back into AP Fastboot)
o) 247 option
o) Reinstall
o) N to transfer, N to check md5, N to reboot AP Fastboot
o) Y to RSD
o) Follow the directions to attempt to install the update in recovery again

If this fails again, it's going to be a problem that we'll have to work on and it won't be pleasant or fun.

No good phone will not boot into recovery after reflashing. HOB ran RSD only went for a few minutes then appeared to complete. Followed instructions to boot into recovery... after selecting recovery phone boots into fastboot now says AP fastboot flash mode (S) (Flash Failure)

on the battery question extended battery was above 80% before beginning this process earlier this evening I am sure it is running lower now. I have several other would a new one change anything at this point.

Correction to earlier post make that (Boot Failure) when trying to go into recovery phone returns to fastboot.

RSD didn't flash if it went that fast. Look at the swdl.txt again. You're going to have to get it to flash the reinstall rsd stuff before it'll even consider letting you get back into recovery.

would the 905 fxz work. or is running HOB the first time the point of no return. From the reading is seems HOB updates the security so the update will see it and proceed. the update never completed earlier. just thinking out loud RSD does see the phone... seems to not want to complete the flash. jumps around after starting and goes quickly to flashing the img 8/15 looks like it is working then quits. sorry if this doesn't make any sense

There are far too many variables I can't rule out. Are you using rsd 5.7? Are you on a USB 2 port? Using the oem cable? Latest moto driver? And no you can't fxz... It'll brick it worse than its bricked now and make it harder. It's late here so if I don't respond it means I fell asleep and we'll have to pick it up tomorrow. We will fix this but it might take some time. I'd also try another usb port if you haven't already. The reinstall option must be flashed successfully before you can get into recovery and flash the update again.

No worries changed the battery to a new one and will try the other USB port. RSD just won't complete loading the img 8/14 then closes within a minute or two of running

Might need to switch from rsd to a more manual method of flashing. If you can't get it flashed by tomorrow I'll put something together.

SamuriHL - aka GOD

I wanted to let you know that I Have been able to install 247 on my Bionic without hassle or strife. I have been "lurking" in the shadows, watching, and learning. I have been updating my phones from Omnia to DX to Bionic, and have successfully been able to install ROM's, root, hack, and generally make the phone do what it was intended to do.

to all this, I want to say thanks.

THANKS!!!

Dan

I'll get up in a couple hours and finish working on 7.8. I lied when I said it won't have functional changes. I'm adding one new feature for my rsd challenged users. We'll see if it ends up helping you or not. But even when I get up to work on it I may be another couple hours getting it done. It's an almost complete rewrite of the script and I haven't gotten it back together yet. I think it's pretty close though. Hopefully we'll be able to get you up and running again.
