Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

Read on another board that there might be an issue with wifi on 232. dfib, have you noticed anything?

Quick and painless. Love it. Went from 230 to 232 in under 45 minutes. No loss of data and running like a champ!

VERY strange issue that perhaps someone can give me a hand with.

I've lost Wifi completely after upgrading recently. (Wifi shows Error)
I tried the Samurihl script, and it works GREAT - much easier now that everything needed is in one place, but it failed to bring back WiFi on my Bionic.

Here's where it gets REAL weird: I can FXZ to 902 (still WiFi shows Error) but I can then root, OTA to 905 and then install Safestrap 1.07 then restore a recent CM9 nightly (from 6/13 - PRE ICS 2233 leak) and have WiFi just fine. (but other things are broken in CM9 6/13 and beyond).

So any ideas?

I VERY much appreciate this script and especially the House of Bionic that contains literally everything needed in one place... that's AWESOME!
I really would like to get to 230 - or even just 905 - with WiFi intact and working.

I'm thinking that something in the older CM9 nightlies is written in a different place than it is with the official ICS leaks, and that I've somehow screwed something up.

I have gone as far as repartitioning the internal SD and the external SD thinking that the partitioning might be different between them, I've FXZ'd back to 902 countless times, but the only way I can get WiFi back working is to FXZ to 902, root, install safestrap 1 and then reload my CM9 6/13 image.



Ideas?? Thanks for all the work you've put into the House of Bionic, Samuri!

Some users reported issues with wifi on the new leak. I am personally on it and wifi is working great.

Well that sucks. Well we can at least go back to 230 if needed. Sounds like 232 won't be the last one either.

I was worried about wifi as well but decided to take a chance. I'm happy to say that I haven't had any problems with it.
I still can't play any video that I recorded using the stock player though. I have to use MX Player. Haven't seen anyone else with this issue though so I have no idea.

If it fixes the white text on the widget menu, that's enough for me to update YET AGAIN. Crappy way to conduct your QA testing, though...

I remember having the same wifi issue on my xoom when flashing different ICS roms. I had to load a back up that the wifi worked and then did a clean install of a rom to get wifi working.

Thanks for the input.

I ended up wiping, and even formatting the entire system THEN using Samuri's script and the House of Bionic to bring me back up to to 230 - and had the SAME EXACT PROBLEM... so I wiped system and then cache and dalvik and then just installed the ICS-LEAK-cm-9-20120706-UNOFFICIAL-targa over the top from inside Bootstrap and it worked.

This means that I'm correct that there's something in CM9 that's written differently than it is in Blur... I'll try to find someone on the CM9 team to take this up with - perhaps my phone holds the key to helping others fix this problem.
