Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

Depends on what version you're on now. If you're on 235, your options are limited to being able to go forward to a new build only. If you're on 232 you can either roll down to 905 and then apply the update, or you can simply use the install method I'm going to test for a new update going forward from 235. In any case, the HoB will support new updates as they get leaked or released.

Not to be ungrateful Mr. Samuri, but is there a way to get your files without using the 4share site? I just have a serious allergy to having to create an account and signing into somewhere just to DL a file or two. I know I have to sign in here (not really if I dont mind not being able to use the first unread feature) but this is different due to the wealth of information available. I'm starting to get the crackflash withdrawl since the attack on DroidHive and their rombot hasn't recovered the ICS leak roms yet and I've been thinking of going with .235 but am a little hesitant due to the "forward only" limitations.

Thanks for all your great work!!

Ok, I am doing something wrong... I installed both programs and drivers and rebooted PC. Got USB hooked up, and MTP mode. I choose option 1)232 and then option 3)Flash the Phone with HouseOfBionic(232). It says Continue when your ready to start flashing. Press any key to continue... So I press a key, and the RSD window pops up for a second, and then goes away. Then about 10 seconds later, pops up in the command prompt "NOTE: Your phone will remain in AP Fastboot. DO NOT reboot your phone at this stage. Press any key to continue..." So I press any key, and it goes back to the 232 options screen with the options for 232 update. I try this over and over and it does the same thing.

1. What am I doing wrong?
and
2. It says DO NOT reboot my phone. If I unplug it to leave for a while, is it gonna brick or something if it turns off? How do I turn off this AP Fastboot mode if I am not flashing it right now?

Please help!

So, basically you skipped half the directions? :) Awesome. Re-read what you're doing, and do not skip steps this time.

P.S. You haven't flashed anything yet, so reboot your phone. Then start with option 1, then 2, then 3....etc etc.

Do you mean the directions in option 4, with the turn off phone, hold down and up volume at the same time, etc? It says those are to manually flash, I assumed those meant for if I am just loading the update manually? Or do you mean, in the 232 options menu, start with option 1)Push the update to SDcard-ext, 2)Reboot to bootloader, etc?

Yea, I mean the 232 options menu. Push the update to your phone, reboot it to bootloader, and once the phone is in AP Fastboot, option 3. You can always look at the RSD log and it's going to probably tell you that it doesn't see your device.

God no. This is not to be some newbie proof script. It's an automation for people that KNOW what's happening to their phone. Any time you flash your phone it's risky if you don't know what you're doing. It's never going to be "load the program, push the button, done".

Ok thanks Samurai. I assumed wrongly, that option 1 was for if you wanted to manually put it on your SD to manually update it yourself, and option 2 was if you wanted to get to the bootloader manually, etc. I assumed option 3 was the one that I wanted, that would put 232 on the phone. Thanks for the clarification and making the sweet program to help us do this. Glad I didn't brick anything due to my stupidity.

Never ever ever assume with things like this. That's when you get into LOTS of trouble. And this is why I get so upset when people don't take the time to read fully and understand what they're doing BEFORE jumping in. Many people have tried the script and figured they could just skip a bunch of options without reading and having it automagically do what they want. They'd be wrong. Very very wrong.

I ran the steps in order and as directed and it ran beautifully. You shouldn't have any problems if you do the same. But if you have any, ask questions before you start.

Developer of the month .....

May I suggest SamuriHL as a possible nominee. He didn't create a theme or a rom that I know of but this kid has been helping people on the Bionic forum for the last month by writing and supporting a script for us to bounce around ICS leaks . If and when someone with a problem posts to his thread he has been more than fortwith in helping that person out and he also has kept his script as up to date as possible .
I am in NO way affiliated with this guy . I just think he should get a little recongnition for all his hard work and help in the last 1 1/2 months .
Here is a link to his thread :: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/motorola-droid-bionic/214902-downgrade-902-no-app-data-loss.html

Samuri, I would just like to thank you for your work. I submitted this today. Win or lose I think you deserve a bit of recognition for what your doing .
