Droid 1/2 Extended Battery

so after i got the extended battery, my phone started running hot, i was on Chevyno1 1.25 ulv, i switched to 1.1 ulv and hot no more. did not try the 1.2

It took 29hrs for mine to get to 5%. AMAZING. 1ghz CM rom as well yes.
Looking forward to seeing how it does on my days off outside of this hell hole cellular sucking building.

I just got my exteneded battery today, fits the motorola multi media docking station just fine. Has anyone else had trouble with the blue door, sliding it onto the battery, seems very tight and I in fact had to peel off part of the cushion from inside the door. Also even with the new battery it still fits in my cheap walmart leather holster just fine.

I could not get my phone to fit the multimedia dock. I got it on there once, but really doesn't fit well. The battery cover fits the way that it should with the padding. I think it's great that I don't have to worry about my battery cover falling off.

Well I took it off the charger at around 7:40 a.m, its 8:40 now. All I did was browse some news articles for about 10 mins, played homerun battle for another 10 mins, and it was down to 80% =\

Not really what I was expecting. I even lowered the brightness and removed my live wallpaper before this.

Running UD7, anyone else battery life similar to this?

Ok 9:40 now and 1 full hour later it's at 60%.

BUT I was using wireless tether this whole time, so this time it actually kinda makes sense that it went down 20%. I could see getting 5 hours if I was tethering the whole time (before it lasted maybe 2 hours if I used wireless tethering the whole time).

Anyone buying a brand new battery will see increased performance from batteries that you have been using for the last 9 months anyway.

it's not a surprise that a brand new higher capacity battery is giving these kind of numbers.

Come back in 9 months and tell me how long it is lasting *then.

got mine today, charging now. looking around for something to change the color of the door.
Why?

Can you see the door when you're using the phone? No.

I held the phone up for my wife to look at it and she couldn't tell there was a difference in color from across the room at all.

Got mine yesterday. The stock cover doesn't look too bad, but I covered mine with some 3M carbon fiber vinyl I had.

I think if it's compatible with the droid 1 it should say so...not saying I don't believe that it does work with the droid, but I think it would be ideal. Also I gotta figure out how the hell I'm gonna fit a case over the whole phone in addition to having a different cover for this battery. I love the case I have now with the phone. Of course I'm still looking to extend my battery which is obviously why I visited this topic. I wanna know what you guys think of going about all of this cuz I don't think it's safe for my phone to go nude. lol

it is compatible. im sure theyre not going to say so because they want people to upgrade to a newer phone
It's not that.

It's not compatible because it's the wrong color and some of the aftermarket products such as cases and holders don't fit with this battery installed.

It IS compatible because it works perfectly with the Droid One, extends the available mA's by about 40%, fits the multimedia stand and is recognized by the phone with the available power reporting correctly.

As soon as I installed this battery and cover I knew I'd done the right thing. The color may be slightly off, but it's designed for the Droid One/Two chassis, so it's a natural fit.

The only thing I have that's not a plug n' play fit is the windshield holder, and that can be fixed with a couple of simple mods. In my case, I'm going to pass the Droid One holder to my wife and I'm going to get a new Droid Two holder which is made to fit with this battery.

Problem solved, she's happy, I'm happy. :icon_ lala:

I wanna get a good rubber case that will fit the droid 1 along with the extended battery but I'm not sure which one will be shaped correctly cuz I know the d1 is shaped slightly different cuz of the 'chin' adjustment.
