Droid 1/2 Extended Battery

I have only seen one pic in this thread with the battery installed and no cover. My question, can a normal Droid 1 case (say an Otter Box) be installed with this battery if the battery cover is not installed?

After getting this battery today I am impressed. I got it charged up by 1 and its been off the charger since. I've went to work from 2:30 till 11 with texting off and on trough work, playing games on break and surfing the internet. Usually by the end of the day I have 40% life left then texting when I get home I need to have it on the charger by midnight at the latest. Tonight after normal use at the end of my shift I was down to 80%. After work I went out till now (2am) and my phone is down to 70%....this sure does beat having two regular batteries and putting my phone on the charger every chance I get.

charging mine now..the case even snaps right over it..not a great increase in thickness

are you talking about the blue one or black one that came with the droid?

the blue one for the droid2..ive got it on my droid1 and it fits fine. and the case snaps right over it. havent tried to slide it into the other part of the case with the clip on it yet though.

Which case snapped over the blue cover?

I ordered the Droid/Droid 2 Multimedia Dock XT. It says it fits extended batteries and cases. Will update when I get it.

It fits and works perfectly!

Check this out on YouTube... Found this last night and forgot to post it here until now: Shell Holster Combo with Extended Battery!

finally bit the bullet and picked one up today. They said I had some sort of discount, so it only came out to $40 total. I'm pleased that the difference in color isnt really noticeable except in really good light. And it fits in the media dock too, not perfectly, but it fits. Now to see what the increase in battery life will be.

also picked one up today with our 25% company discount. totaled out to 37 and change after tax and whatnot. without sun/light shining directly on it I can hardly notice the color difference. cant wait to see how it does after a full charge/discharge/charge..

wow i would love to get 18 hours!!!! the most i get out while at work is 9 hours after being fully charged through the night. i never have more than 20% sometimes im down to 15 percent by the 6 hour mark no pandora just web surfing, a couple of videos, texting mostly and a few small games. ive gotten a jump in life recently by changing from p3 medium voltage 900 to chevy ultralow 1.2 im down to 40% with 1 hour and a half to go normally im at 15% right now.

Im gonna get this battery but im gonna have to wait till the price goes down........ unless someone has a new promo code for the battery that 30 percent off looked good please some help!!!

Ok , so here's the scoop on the multimedia dock, when i put mine into the dock it barely fits and it doesn't act quite right, when my girlfreind puts it into her dock, it actuallly loses battery over night. So i'm gonna say , no it doesn't really fit the dock.
Not to be contrary, but my phone fits my multimedia dock as if it were made for it. Absolutely no issues at all. I'd recommend you check to see if there's an alignment problem with the connector on your dock.

I put my phone on the dock every night before I turn in.

I also should say, i've had the battery for a little over a week now and honestly i see not much of a difference over the stock battery. Now I am running a non rooted phone with not additional task killer apps or anything like that.
I'm running a non-rooted phone and the only power app I'm using is Juice Defender. I don't use an app-killer, those aren't recommended.

After taking the phone off the charger the reading presented on the display at lights out time is between 50% and 90% depending on usage throughout the day. That's at least 16 hours off charger.

Wow! So, I really found out today how poor reception/signal can absolutely KILL your battery. Lately I've been working two days out of the week at a different location. I just thought it was because I was using a bad backup battery before... But today when I went there with my SUPER Extended battery that gave me 18+ hours the day before only gave me about 8 hours today. The cell phone searching for signal really does kill the battery... I'm willing to bet that this is why a lot of people have battery issues. Something that might seem weird too, is that some cases might have a magnet that makes your phone think it is docked and will turn the screen on (might be an old problem, but it could be somebody's problem).

Multimedia Dock XT works great, perfect!! It actually says it's for Droid2/Droid on the box. There is an "insert" piece that you can pull off so that it will fit a case (says model SJYN0549). I would think some other cases would still fit. My pictures didn't turn out so great with current lighting so I'll try later.

This battery should be arriving on Monday. I will post pictures as soon as possible. I was in the Verizon store yesterday and they had them in stock, I just didn't feel like waiting for a sales rep. My only concern is if the Droid 1 will read the battery life correctly.
Is the extended battery on the Droid X worth the $'s? I'm thing bout returning the 32gb I ordered & replace it w/ the xtended battery. Will recieve the droid x 8/31.

so what desk top docks have people found to work with this battery. i tried my moms dock with the spare battery slot it wont fit
