Droid 1/2 Extended Battery

i'm sorry I haven't seen a comparison between the seido and this motorola extended battery so I was curious which one is better. I am going to buy a extended battery this week when I get paid and wanted to get the best one out there.
thanks

I had the Seidio battery before purchasing this slimmer battery. The Seidio is a beast. I could sometimes hold a charge for 36-44 hours. The drawback was that the phone never read the % of battery power left correctly, so sometimes I would miss charging the phone overnight and the battery would die.

This battery is read correctly by the Droid and you still have the same slim feel of the phone. So it is comfortable in your pocket. The battery should at the least get you through a hard days usage and then you can charge over night.

i want the one that would last through 5 or 6 hours of listening to streaming radio, doing a bunch of reading email and browsing and some texting.

Is the motorola or seido better?

They both will last through doing all of those activities. The Seidio will leave you will the most power left over after the streaming, etc. However, if you have an additional Droid accessories, none of them will fit with the Seidio. You can possibly make most work with the Motorola battery fro the Droid 2.

Wondering how people who have a droid 1 rooted and maybe use setcpu with a custom kernel. How's the battery holding up for u guys?? Plz give me ur feedback

Just ordered my battery like an hour ago. Should expect it this Tuesday. crossing my fingers it will meet my expectations. I'll be relieved to get at least 14 hours or so on medium use but I should be able to expect more if I'm good about it. I will report back. :D
i wonder how the stand-alone charger would work that charged the first droid battery. Probably won't fit it. Oh well..lol

Anyone with the 1880 mAH extended battery for the droid 2, if you put it in the droid 1, can you still use the original car dock with the droid having the extended battery?

You can still use the original car dock, but if you look a the plate that the dock snaps into there are two lines that stretch the length of the battery. I shaved those down with a box cutter to relieve the pressure applied to the chin lip of the phone. I recommend doing that so that you do not damage the phone. It will work if oy do not use it, but it will put your phone under stress.

Give it a day or two and you will definitely get 14 hours of continuous use out of the phone. I get that on a regular basis. Sometimes I can get 24 hours out of my battery.

Sounds good, this is really tempting. Not sure if its worth $50 though. Does it look okay with the slight bump and blue colored battery cover?

I didnt have time to fully charge mine the first, time.. an 80% charge got me 36hrs. about 10 more than the standard battery on a full charge.

the bump isnt anything. it feels a lot better in my hands. noones going to notice the blue cover either

seriously? do i just get crappy luck or what? mine worked great for the first day or two, and now it really doesnt seem too much better than the standard. even when it did work there was no way itd get 36 hours. does yours idle for awhile? how often are you using it?

I was concerned too, but the hump is negligable. It really is tiny, I don't even notice it. And to be completely honest, you won't even notice the difference in color unless you're in really good direct light. Its not a big deal at all. I would highly recommend it. Don't let those concerns stop you
