Question: Please help, I farted and now my screen is broke... and it was sitting on the table 3 feet away... moto and vzw won't cover it. What do I do???

ANSWER: see a doctor about the flatulence.... other than that.. do you have insurance??

Reply: very funny, it wasn't that bad... dang.. this thing is too thin.. weren't there screen issues with the last razr???.......

This is true.. it doesn't have the sharp edges.. its like holding an old snap on wrench.. compared to the newer ones... the sharpness always killed my hands..

I have a few snap on wrenches. One i shaved down , needed it thin for thrust reversers.

Looking over the last few pages, it's safe to say we all have different ideas about what's stupid/good for Motorola to do .

Personally i think it would be incredibly dumb to release two versions. However i think this because all moto phones should be released with a maxx battery as a standard feature. Motorola is hurting as far as sales go, why not just spend the extra $4 per phone on a bigger battery?

i dont think by "mini" or "micro" they meant thinner, .. guess they just mean smaller sized phones (less height and less width) ... but then again those are rumors, cant know for sure


so to recap there will be

- RAZR HD
- RAZR HD MAXX
- RAZR Micro

all will be released in October ...

might as well wait for the nexuses by the end of year

I truly think if they do a micro... it will be thinner and smaller.

Think about it. They boast the thinnest phone now.. they'll want to push that even farther.

They may not... but I'm sure that if they release a micro... it will be thinner yet. Marketing...

IMHO.. having a regular and a maxx version isn't stupid.. its like having a vette and a z06 or zr1 available..

Some my not want or need the extra battery..

For people like me...the maxx battery is a must have.

But I personally don't know if moto will be coming out with a maxx HD... they could... so idk.

That is a dumb comparison. When you look at cars you get to look at both of them and decide which one you want. When the RAZR came out people got it and then they got mad when the razor maxx came out. If the razor HD and the the razor maxx HD both come out at the same time then it will be fine but if they do it like they did with the razor and razor maxx the they will have a lot of ticked off customers.

I also don't think it would be a big deal if moto released them slightly separated.. as long as they pulled their heads out and announced it.. so that consumers could avoid the previous razr incident...

But from a money standpoint... releasing something that catches on.. then one uping it... is actually a great idea from the money side...

From the customer satisfaction/loyalty side.... not so much.

I did read it and to think that a company would release two of the same phones except one has a larger battery on the same network is crazy. How well do you think the razor would have done if the razor maxx came out with it? Motorola had one their worst years of sales in the past year because they kept releasing the same phone over over again with very little changes between the phones which is why they said that they will not be releasing as meany phones as they did in the past. Competing against yourself is never a good idea.
