[APPS] Droid X/2 Overclock App - Easy & Noob friendly ;)

I haven't dl one yet. I wanted to get a feal for the phone somewhat stock first. Ill prob try darkslide here in a few hours

Darkside is coolp rom and the support is great blurless is the better of the two

That's what I keep hearing from alot of poeple, and its heavily theamed too. Reguardless of wheather or not I can get it overclocked I'm diggin the phone. Next is to get this bloatware off

Overclock Module Not Installed

Hi, I just purchased your awsome app, but I get the Overclock Module Info screen when I open the app, saying the module was not installed. Ive tried reinstalling a couple times, and ive tried using the new module in the settings.

Droid X FlyX 0.1 Final ROM.

Did you try going to settings/application/manage applications selecting the OC App and clearing the data? That worked for me.

Get out of FlyX imo...ancient ROM. You may want to back things up (nandroid), re-flash the 2.3.340 update, and install a new ROM like RubiX, ApeX, Darkslide, Tranquility, Fission, etc.

Just curious, what rom do you like best? I had bad luck with liberty, and i used apex for awhile.

Do you like Motorola's native stuff (Blur)? If you do, I'd go with Darkslide 4.2 or Rubix Blurry. If you haven't tried blur-less ROMs, try RubiX Focused 1.9.7, Fission 2.6.1, or Liberty 1.5. Their speed and battery life are amazing, and being blur-less they are very customizable.

Little help please

I couldn't search and find anything so I apologize if this has been addressed. I've been using this awesome tool since I got my X in December, and love what it does. It's been running on my phone with the stock ROM and has been flawless. Now that I just tried another ROM (Ape X) I notice that when I have the throttling set low for when the screen is off, that when I turn the screen on, it doesn't go to the settings I put on the CPU (1.3Ghz/400Mhz) and stays at 400 until I open it and slide the slider over.

Is there a setting I'm not thinking of that I can set to fix?

Hmm, there's a "screen on" setting for the profiles. Never needed it before but seems to have solved the issue

Ok, it doesn't really fix the problem as I should be able to set the max speed by just opening and sliding the scaling slider over. If I want to do that, and have it stick, I have to edit the profile. Doesn't make sense.

So anyone have a fix?

Idk, I had the same issue. I think the program has some sort of delay in detecting the change in condition. I had to use Set CPU since it didn't have a delay.

I've heard the phone runs at minimum while the screen is off anyway, but idk.
