Can anyone please tell me how to get market back?? My post got buried a million pages back. I love froyo but I can't install any apps w out the marketplace working.

I don't get the folks having problems with clockwork... Make sure you have the latest recovery, use roboot into recovery, wipe data_ factory reset, wipe cache, nandroid restore. Ignore the message that you don't have sd ex. Reboot phone. Since my cell reception is crap at home, I canceled all the automatic downloads, manually downloaded rom manager & titanium restored my apps applied the 1.2 kernel. Set up my set cpu, installed the flash apk using astro. This sucker flies... many, many thanks to the devs who brought us this...

ive been running this for about a day, and the only thing that bothers me is that apps dont stay running in the backround for me. like if i switch from the browser to youtube, and back to the browser, it reloads. Same thing happens with every other app. Also, the home screen icons and widgets almost always have to reload.

I have he market icon, and it "attempts" to start but it doesn't. So I can't install bubkis. Any help is much appreciated. I hate being the only one w this issue =/

tHose that are having a problem with clockwork Install rom manager (if you do not have it installed already). Click flash alternate recovery (at the bottom). Use sprecovery to install every thing. Then once everything is up and running go into rom manager and flash clockwork again so you are ready when you dev put a new tweak on rm.

The Maps reinstall is funny, it talks crap while you install "so you deleted Maps huh"

Honestly, I'm not surprised. I'm still wondering why people are trying so hard to make it so market can update their maps to the version they already have on their phone...

So when google inevitably upgrades maps, we will be able to also in the normal way.

Odds are by the time there is another update to MAPS we'll not only have several custom ROM's, but the official 2.2 OTA.

Dont worry about MAPS for now.. .remember, this is a pre-release evaluation version of the ROM and you wont be using it for long most likely.

The rom is running great with the exception of two things:

first - battery life just gets sucked away. I'm not getting more than 10 hours on this build. No I don't have anything running in the background. ie: the weather channel.

second - where did my signal go? I was getting 3-4 bars before going to this rom. Now, just one. Yes, I did the *228 (a couple of times).

Anyone else having these problems?

i noticed in the settings that there is a lock and unlock sound now, like the iphone. i was wondering if maybe you change that to a custom sound, like you can a jailbroken iphone. thanks in advance. :)

Someone needs to find where it's located, because the "click" just doesn't cut.
system/media/audio/ui/lock&unlock.ogg

Wow. I was gonna do that today, but looks like you beat me to it :P

I'm guessing by the labeling it probably wasn't that hard to find...

Now to think of what sounds we want to start putting on our droids...

Oh, and did everyone know that if you held your finger down on the stock keyboard til the letter pops up, then move i to the top of the keyboard it brings up numbers and symbols? Try it! I mean, maybe it did this in 2.1, but I don't remember it.

I just got back from work where my browser is usually slow as can be and with FroYo it was stupid fast, I am using the 1.2 Kernel and to think this is just the begining
