Gorgeous, mysterious, EVO-ish HTC device headed for Verizon

Well, guess I'm not the only one looking forward to this device.
I have a bit of speculation on what the possibility of release dates are.

So gathering the information Miami has given, HTC U.S. Android devices patterns and how Verizon's Android phones launch on a Thursday I think I narrowed it down to two time frames.

So as we may know, the HTC Merge might be coming out on Thursday November 11th, so I don't see the Incredible HD landing that date and the 3rd is too early. Miami says that it will be around in time for Black Friday and I don't it will be released on Thanksgiving day. So that leaves one date: November 18th. If they really plan to release it in November and before Black Friday then thats the date.

Course, based on HTC's pattern on releasing phone on a single carrier, we may not see this thing till May/June. The Droid Eris came out November and then the Droid Incredible came out 5-6 months later. With the HTC Merge coming November, thats 6-7 months. So the next device after the Merge, Incredible HD, might not come till Q3 2011.

Well you know, one promising thing is Verizon really seems to be pushing the Incredible once again with them airing commercials for it all of a sudden lately....I haven't seen commercials for the Incredible that often since they first released it. Maybe they're pushing the Incredible again because they want to get rid of their Incredibe stock to make way for this new device? One can only hope so...lol

Very smart thinking, but since Miami has inside sources at Verizon, and has reported that they've said a November release, then I think he will be right... And also the fact that Q3 2011 is really far away!

But yeah, you might be right in saying that November 18th is the date, but that might be to close to the release date of the Merge, but then again, maybe Verizon will do a special Thanksgiving day phone thingy and they might announce the Incredible on Thanksgiving, but that's just speculation.

Okay ever since this thread started I have been eagerly awaiting for this phone to come into more light, now from what I've seen from videos of the desire HD, I'd have to say I might just jump the gun and get this phone and skip motos offering, anyone know if the gpu will be an updated version of what's already out??

If the Moto T2 goes to AT&T first, as has been rumored, I might go back to this as my VZW upgrade. I'm eligible on 12/4 and have been waiting patiently to pull the trigger....

No great phones will be out until late next year. If you can't wait jump on this or any of the other phones coming out. This is as good as it gets for a bit. Disappointing to say the least .

I'm glad you found the phone for you. I'm jealous : ).

My upgrade on second line was up when the Incredible came out and I haven't found a device yet that I really want to upgrade to. It suxxors : )

I guess the best thing to come out of this is that I'll have 2 upgrades stacked on top of each other if a great device doesn't come out by Q2 of 2011

Yeah, if this is true it is very disappointing. That said, I really like the look of this phone although I've been having sweet dreams of the T2 with Gingerbread. I guess I'll see how things stand at Black Friday and make my decision from there. I can't wait another year for a new phone.

me either homes...i need a new toy...d1 is great, but i want a fresh phone...Ill prolly keep the d1 just to root and run custom roms and shiz on...and keep this new one quite fresh.

Yea. Seems a whole bunch of devices are coning out in November that just popped out of nowhere. Here's hoping to this phone being released alongside others next month.

too bad I swore I would never buy another HTC product again after I got the Eris...and had to return it for a new one 4 times.

Bummer...And I have been hesitant on Sense UI, but it looks quite polished on the...crap....I cant think of the HTC phone that somewhat resembles this phone...

Anyways, it looks nice with alot of good/cool features. I just want a phone that can watch flash vids at a pretty awesome rate...my d1 is like all chop suey.
