Right, second gen snapdragon uses less power, but the Desire HD has a sec. gen and they said battery life was a problem. There is no way to get a higher capacity battery in that phone. Unless you have one with different chemistry.

Oh well, it has power saving modes and you will learn to live with it. I am not worried about it.

Glad i am working tonight and tomorrow night. I am going to wear out the f5 for sure.

No unfortunately it will have been changed in color as far as I know...and CDMA only on release (not to say there wont be world edition too like the d2)

A change in color?! That is a bummer. I hope those leaked pictures weren't too good to be true. Do you have a picture of the final color? Is it still an aluminum unibody phone?

Brushed aluminum would be awesome, but sometimes it is what it is.

Brushed aluminum would be excellent...but Miami said "unfortunately it would be changed in color" The unfortunately part has me worried. Can't wait to see the pics and get more information though.

Ok guys here is my update for the night..I have something special coming besides pics and some specs....So for now ..

I confirmed os is Froyo, sense 2.5, battery appears to be the same as the Desire HD (its brother for sure) and release in "very very soon". Now for the pics and some cool stuff. I will open a new thread once its ready to go....I am hoping for release late tonight or "later tonight" but it could push to the morning. there are some things I am not in control of. Unfortunately..... that's life

Not to get too deep into details while we wait for the specs and pictures...but when Miami stated that the release was in "very very soon" it was in the context of the phone...not the pictures which were mentioned in the following sentence.

Based on that statement I am thinking that the phone will be released sooner than November 23rd. Maybe, just maybe the Incredible HD will release at the same time as the Merge!! That would be wonderful.

I think that answer is NO but when he/she gets live here (they said it could be late) and posts it all then they will answer questions also.... I think that week is rock solid as they have a ton comning for the holidays. remeber I said 18 more Android based devices a month ago and I only count 4 so far. So lots to come still....

I think the merge is the 11th. Again I could be wrong but I swear I read that somewhere. I just cant remeber where. No im sure late Nevember is the area we are looking at..

I will not purchase a red phone. I am hoping for brushed aluminum or black. Anything else and I will pass on the device.
