Maybe I am just being negative, but it really seems like the guy may have gotten in over his head on this one. Other than this thread, I have seen no other evidence that this phone even exists. Now we are weeks away from launch, and we have nothing other than a few pics from months ago. I'm about to call this one dead.

I agree, I think what is going to happen is that, forgive me if this has been said, he is going to get in info first...and EVERY Tech website is going to source him from this thread. If Miami gives out info too soon, or pics that aren't legit or specs that aren't on the phone, his credibility as an informant would be shot and his reputation will be tarnished...hes got a big shot here guys to make a name for himself...give it to him...

Miami...take your time..i remember seeing a cartoon when I was a kid where 2 kids wished that Christmas was everyday...obviously Christmas got less special to them and then it just became any another day...Your news will be epic...make sure you get what you need then post it to us...We will be ok until then...and if the others aren't ok...Im ok with waiting...because then I will know what you give us will be legit and not some "lets please the masses with this" tom foolery...

why would it be a deal breaker? I mean you could use DLNA if there is no hdmi jack.

If I do not have a DLNA T.V then why buy it. In my opinion it is a deal breaker for me. I have a lot of movies that I downloaded from my desktop that I can watch on my DX phone at anytime. Sometimes I plug in the HDMI and watch it on the Big Screen. This phone is not worth it to me with out the HDMI Mini jack. I like HTC and almost bought the Incredible 1. But I absolutely loved the DX so I bought it. It is not worth giving up my DX for this phone. So I am going to stick with my DX and wait for the Droid T2 and use my wife upgrade for that if it is what they say it going to be.

They have an adapter you know? This phone is better than a DX.

Like i stated, i don't deny the existence of this device, but releasing on the 23rd seems less than probable. The devices slated for Nov. 11 we've known about for months as well as documented in verizon's roadmap. I'd like to think verizon wouldn't release a phone of this magnitude with absolutely no marketing behind it. Evo's already sell like hotcakes, pairing it with the best network, this should be on every verizon smartphone user's christmas wish list.

Absolutely! And thank you man...Having a kid is simply indescribable! But its much like getting upset with Miami for not sharing the word..

In the early months I got to see my kid through an ultra sound...and he looked like a grey blob or an outline of a baby. Then it got bigger and bigger and the anticipation got nearly unbareable...I wanted to know if it was boy or girl...we got to know then...(htc-verizon) then nothing....nothing...nothing...

I wanted to know if he would have all of his fingers, if he would be healthy, if he would come out on time..ect....

But trust me when I say, seeing him for the first time was much better this way...I know that hes healthy, I know that he has all of his fingers and toes, and hes such a trip...

Give Miami time..when the news is released, it will be a good time. If its not something we hoped for then oh well..at least we get to pass on it...me on the other hand, will not pass on this device...

Has anyone been over to BGR's new website this morning? Very slick looking. Wouldn't they just love to be able to link over to a feature rich article on this website to help drive more traffic to their newly redesigned website.

I still think there is a strong chance this phone is comiong before Thanksgiving - but I think that Verizon has dragged out the final details so that the "leak" happens closer to the official announcement date. In the process they are jerking Miami around and playing their cards in their favor. They know Miami isn't going to act prematurely and are taking advantage of that.

I agree. Im dont mean to say that I dont think the phone exists. Im just questioning at this point Miami's sources. Let's take a look at what we have so far. Back in August, BGR leaks photos of an "evo like device for Verizon", then nothing for quite a while, and then all of a sudden a mod from droid forums has a release date....and nothing more. I'm not asking for anything more that I would ask from Engadget, BGR, or any other website leaking information. I need a little proof, give me something. I dont need him to out his sources. I cant think of too many websites that would run with information like this without some form of proof.

Yes I can. This is not a new phone with an unknown os (skin). This is an evo or desire hd for verizon. And the desire and evo are way better than the DX.

Don't worry...his proof is coming. It is just hard to go back over the last 138 pages of posts to find all the times we have been told his proof is coming. I think the last post (a couple of days ago) said proof was coming in about an hour...then a friend of Miami swore up and down it was happening today. It has been Monday now for nearly 11 hours (in Miami's location) and still nothing.

We shall see. Miami (and Verizon) knows that we are all sitting here waiting on the information so as long as we keep coming back and driving traffic to this site they are in no hurry to release it.

On one hand I agree that Miami doesn't want to risk his reputation by posting something partially that will be linked to other forums if it is half baked. On the other hand...he has already done that. By stating a release date with nothing to back it up and then repeatedly stating that he has information coming ("tomorrow", "tonight", "shortly", "in about an hour") his credibility is already slipping. No offense to Miami - but this site has already been linked to other blogs/websites and anyone that has checked in for this big scoop that was about to be leaked weeks ago has either joined the crazy folks here (myself included) and checked every hour or so for weeks or has written Miami off as not a credible source of information.

Now - please understand - I am not saying he owes anyone anything - but I think that if this were another site - we would want more accuracy and factual information that continued broken promises of when this information is going to appear.

Even for Miami to appear in the forum and give an update and answer some basic questions would be very helpful. It seems he has done that with folks off line (as they say more has gone on than we know) but still - that doesn't help the masses or the other websites that have driven traffic to this site.

I was so excited two months ago when BGR ran the initial story with the four pictures and then a couple of weeks ago when Miami stated the 23rd release date. As the 23rd gets closer and closer I am beginning to wonder how such a big release could be kept so long. If this all ends up being true (and I hope it is) then they have kept a tighter lid on this phone's information than Apple does with their new products.

So...I hope I am wrong...but I really am beginning to doubt the 23rd release date as that is just three weeks away and nothing has been confirmed on this phone since four pictures of a non Verizon branded phone appeared on the internet over two months ago.
