Got my X2

I noticed mine was showing only 1 core as well. It also says the CPU name is ARMv7. Why wouldn't it show up as Tegra 2? The GPU says NVIDIA AP.

Probably because I don't believe android has direct support for the tegras yet so it is probably set to recognize as a different chip in the kernel to operate.

Same thing is getting reported on the Atrix. I think maybe Quadrant just isn't displaying it correctly.

Elixir may not be a good judge for processor. It says my fascinate is an A7 Arm, and it is really a A8 Hummingbird.

Cool, maybe once the OS does properly recognize the processor we may see even better performance. :p

meanwhile, on the Dinc2 - Elixir:

Total: 603.5
Free: 344.7

ftw... :)

So thoughts? DX2, INC2, TB? Which do you prefer? :D

I wanted so much to love the DX2, and it's solid overall, but it had some buggy stuff that I didn't like with certain apps - almost like it was an OS update... and the pentile display was a love/hate thing. Blur was much improved, but still not on par with Sense (my preference anyway). And it ran snappy, but for general every day usage (not games/movies) it was laggier and not as smooth as the newest HTC phones. The OS just isn't optimized for dual core... yet.

I also loved the Bolt, and Sense et. al. ran awesome. But radio issues and subpar battery (not horrible, but subpar), plus the reboot thing (fix coming or not) did me in.

For me, a reliable signal and strong battery life are more important than 4G, but Sense 2+ was so nice and ran so well... Enter the Inc2. It's like the Bolt, but smaller/better ergonomics (imho), better battery life, and an almost identical UI that runs almost flawlessly. All three were great phones, so that wasn't an issue, though the Inc2 has a certain crisp clarity about it's speaker (external) the others didn't.

One other factor - I don't care about customizing much any more. I like to root, but typically don't mess with custom ROMs. The Inc2 is the only of those three that has not been rooted and they're having a hard time getting it. I trust it'll come eventually, but if you love to tinker/customize, the Inc2 isn't for you... yet! :p

How well does the tv out work on inc2. Is it blurry resolution on hd tv?

Sent from my fascinate

no hdmi out - I know the Inc1 had a cord that would mirror it to the TV (via usb right?) but I haven't even looked into that yet...

I've ended up with the Inc2.

If you are sticking with the 8655 chipset, why not pay $50 more and get the Revolution? Initial reports pan out, you get 4G as well and the other things you mentioned.

DX2 is dead sexy though. You are missing out ;)
