Here We Go Again.. ICS Release Date May Be Close!!

I got my update at 10 last night for my XOOM. Its prettier but not sure what else. I haven't had time to play with it yet. Hopefully RAZR is soon. Would be nice to be running same os on both.

Did the soak test even go out for the Razr yet?

No soak test yet. Email notifications about the soak test haven't gone out either, and those are usually sent out one to three days before the start of the soak. Given that, June 12th really isn't looking likely for a general release. A soak test starting next week would make sense given that the general release is supposed to be pushed out before the end of the month.

After waiting for the ICS updates on my two Xooms, and still waiting on the update for my D4 - I will add this one note: the ICS deployment on my Xooms went a lot smoother than the ICS upgrade for the Transformer. Since I use all these for work, I would rather wait the extra time, and have it simply work, than get the ICS upgrade early, and wait for the 10 patches to get everything worked out.

Agreed. The current Gingerbread build on the RAZR/MAXX is incredibly smooth and stable. It's the most stable build of Android that I've ever had on any of my phones, including stock ICS on the Galaxy Nexus. Much of that is due to Gingerbread's age and the familiarity that Motorola has in working with it. So, I definitely want them to take the time to get ICS right rather than pushing out a buggy mess.

I hope we get it the 12th cuz im leaving for mexico the 13 and i cant use any data over there or ill get in big trouble with my dad lol.

Exactly. Getting it right, is much more it important than getting it sooner.

I gave up waiting for ICS. I went ahead and installed ICS buil 203. then 206 and I am currently on ICS build 209.
This one is the best ove had on my phone so far. very stable very smooth with no bugs that Ive noticed so far.
If you guys didnt know there is a way to now go forward whenever a new ics build comes out, this means when the official ics comes out I will be able to install it and be back on the OTA path. If you guys are willing to flash your phone then I suggest taking the plunge and installing the current ICS build 209. you will not regret it. specially since you will be able to flash again when the official build finally comes out and be back on track.
only thing that you will not be able to do is downgrade bck to gingerbread, but remember once the official ICS comes out your not going to be able to downgrade to gingerbread anyways.

I think everyone wants it to be right when it is released. I, for one, thinks they've had plenty of time to get it right. However, I'm not going to die without ICS and can wait patiently with the rest of you.

Actually ICS was one of the smooth transitions on my Asus Prime Quad core. Albeit I am currently waiting for a firmware any day now because some
people are having issues. The Transformer in general has had many short commings. For sure. Including build quality, design etc... Anyways there was
definitely things that should have been reformed before being pushed out. If there is one thing worth waiting for that is software beta tests. The good thing is that similar to Mercedes Benz they are always the leader of technology who reforms it or ICS being reformed by ASUS before other manufactures
jump on. Having both of he ASUS tablets immediately and being the "guinea pig" of Tablets (Quad) and ICS it has been a very trying experience. However
I really like my ASUS PRIME w/ICS and I really like my new droid razr. I will be very interested to be in the release of ICS with another manufacturer
to experience its release. Time will tell.
