Here We Go Again.. ICS Release Date May Be Close!!

I gave up waiting for ICS. I went ahead and installed ICS buil 203. then 206 and I am currently on ICS build 209.
This one is the best ove had on my phone so far. very stable very smooth with no bugs that Ive noticed so far.
If you guys didnt know there is a way to now go forward whenever a new ics build comes out, this means when the official ics comes out I will be able to install it and be back on the OTA path. If you guys are willing to flash your phone then I suggest taking the plunge and installing the current ICS build 209. you will not regret it. specially since you will be able to flash again when the official build finally comes out and be back on track.
only thing that you will not be able to do is downgrade bck to gingerbread, but remember once the official ICS comes out your not going to be able to downgrade to gingerbread anyways.

Did you mean .208? I too am having zero issues with my flashed ICS. It's not complicated, certainly no dissapointments..youtube

Do we have to be rooted to install Ics? In thinking if its not official by months end I'll try to toss it on. I haven't seen any real complaints yet.

I know this has nothing to do with Verizon's update, but it means that Moto has settled on a final version for at least one of their markets. We've got to be close!

there are 2 ways to install it, one with root and one without root. the one without root you have to download the latest ics build and place them on a external sd card. then go into your moto recovery and pick recover from sd card and pick the file.

While you're right that it doesn't have anything to do with Verizon's update, it's definitely a much better indicator that we're probably getting much closer to a release than any of the rumors that have come along in the past few months. I wouldn't be surprised if, at this point, Motorola is only waiting for the approval from Verizon before starting the soak test.

There is a Face Unlock app in the Market AKA Play Store... the paid version does the same thing. I played around with it for a while, but decided it was impractical for regular use. I will add that it does work very well.
