Holy Finishing Touches Batman, it's Sapphire 1.0

I also did a wipe data and catch after the rom install but not the gaps

order of operations:

wipe data+cache
install base
install gapps

To add to this, since some people seem to still have trouble with it:

wipe data+cache
install base
install gapps
boot phone
sign into google set up
let apps sync (can take over 15 minutes! Longer over 3g!)
perform backup (so you have a working stock set up to fall back on)
install custom kernels/themes

I just have so many apps i need to find a way for this to work

just flashed this run and is running like an angel.
a question though.

Is it possible to get the black mms app back? how would i go about doing that? any one have any success and could give me a few tips to help?

ty, i just use rootexplorer to rename the old Mms.apk to Mms.apk.bak and then copy the new mms file to /system/app. then set the permissions for the new file.

Has anyone tried Swype in this version? It works if I touch type, but if I actually swype, it doesn't do anything. I see the trail on the screen, but no words appear. I didn't have any issues in .84

That happens sometimes - you have to install from scratch (e.g., the Swype installer).

Did that a couple of times. No go. :(

Odd. I installed from the SwypeInstaller, so it download, installed, and registered Swype, and it works as it should.

Hold down on the typing area and switch to the android keyboard, then do it again and switch back to swype. That's what would work in the past, not sure if it still works now though.

After a full day of running this ROM I am very pleased. Took my phone off the charger this morning at 6:30 and after a full day of moderate to heavy usage I was at 30% battery at 5:30. No force-closes, no hiccups and super snappy!!
GREAT WORK GUYS!

Hey Yank,

What kernal are you using and are you using Set Cpu, if so what settings or profiles? Thanks man.

Agreed! I took mine off the charger at 9am EST and now it's only down to 50%. Also, I'm not sure if everyone knows this yet, but, the new Facebook app, while awesome, is sucking the hell out of battery life because it's forcing the phone to not REALLY go into standby mode. They're working on a fix. So if your battery life is sucking, that could be one cause.

I'm using the one cvpcs included and I haven't enabled setcpu in this build. I wanted to see what kind of battery life/performance I'd get with his stock settings. So far...PHENOMENAL!

I downloaded via RM and I think I picked the 1000 LV kernel. Using SetCPU but I don't have any profile set, never have.
