Holy Finishing Touches Batman, it's Sapphire 1.0

Sounds good. I was telling him how good sapphire was and he downloaded with rom manager and the phone didn't work then did what tank said and his apps wouldn't restore. I was like dude trust me sapphire is awesome I don't know what is going on with it tonight. Glad to know it was just stuff that was out of my hands.

I recommend booting into recovery, wiping Data/Cache and reflashing just the Rom and Gapps file, letting it boot up and restore apps, and then reboot and apply a kernel or theme.
Are you saying that the ROM and gapps files should both be installed before rebooting? I installed them separately (with a reboot between) when I tried this the other day with undesireable results. Could that be the reason?

Yea install the rom then the gapps and reboot. In sp recovery you can install rom then mount sd and move gapps file over and install it then reboot. In clockwork just have both on your sd and install rom then gapps and reboot.

I agree, this is the way I have always done it since GAPPS were removed from the rom. Have had zero issues. (I use clockwork).

You can reboot after just the ROM flashing. It won't hurt. You'll just have to power down and go back into recovery to install gapps.

This is my tried and true method and never fails me.

1. Wipe EVERYTHING! (multiple times? eh, that's a debate yet to be won)
2. Install ROM
3. Install g_apps
3. Reboot
4. Sign in to Google.
5. Let your apps restore and all the syncing stuff finish. (this may take several minutes)
6. Shut down phone.
7. Power back into recovery and install different kernel (optional)
8. Reboot
9. Shut down phone.
10. Power back into recovery and install theme (optional)
11. Reboot.

Everything should be good to go!
It seems like a lot of steps, but it's really quite easy.

^^ exactly my install method as well. Has never failed and if something does go wrong. I know what the issue is right away.

Taking a little more time actually will save you more time. Try that one on for size : )

Wow he already updated the proprietary files from the new leak.
Can't wait to see a new release now.
I hope I can install it though.

For some reason I can't reinstall 1.0.:(
It just boot loops when i try.
I have to use a nandroid backup of before I themed it to go back before themed.

Had an issue today where my GPS was just dropping for no reason. I forgot to check to see how long my phone had been running at that point. I did a quick reboot on the keyboard (Droid 1) and had no problems with my GPS after that.

Where do you see these updated proprietary files at?

I read it in the changelog:
1.0.3: Upgraded to new leak proprietaries [p3droid]
P3Droid recently released the new proprietaries for the FRG22D
build, which have now been included into the release.

Consolidated build [cvpcs (modifications)]
[cyanogen (base idea)]
In order to better allow for multiple device support, the build
configs are now consolidated across all devices. This means
a more common experience for all systems running a GEM.

1.0.2:
New kernels [cvpcs]
Added some new kernels with interactive governor support, which
provides a tradeoff between battery life and performance that
leans more towards performance. Note that ondemand will remain
the default as it promotes better battery life. The stock
125-1000LV kernel has also been replaced by the 250-800SV kernel
for the purpose of providing more stability out-of-the-box.

Various fixes:
Fixed FC with GEM Settings/DSP Manager [cvpcs]
More tweaks to the volume button music controls [cvpcs]

1.0.1:
Added rsync [dylex]
As per a request I have added the rsync binary for those who
would use it to sync data between their phones and various other
sources.

Removed ChromeToPhone [cvpcs]
As ChromeToPhone is now in market, there is no need to include
it here.

Added VolBtn Music Control Enable option to GEM [cvpcs]
Added an option in GEM Settings to enable/disable the volume
button music controls.

Added Audio DSP settings [alankila]
Alankila did some awesome things with Audio Digital Signal
Processing, which have now been incorporated into GEM Settings.

Re-enabled stagefright player [cvpcs] (thanks google)
A recent check-in to the froyo source tree has fixed the audio
issues some were experiencing in stagefright, specifically with
AAC+ and eAAC streams. Thus I have synced the fix and re-
enabled stagefright for media playback.
