hey all, i don't know WHAT just happened. But I have been messing with sweeterhome a lot these past 2 days and overnight while i was sleeping, my whole gmail account and my facebook account got hacked and my passwords have been changed. I am freaking out right now trying to figure out this happened and my brother told me the person that took over my account is spamming mail to send money to the UK. I very much think it is possible that it is from one of the skins that I downloaded so be careful!!!!

why would you think that had anything to do with sw2? how does yur brother know about the person spamming mail? :icon_eek:

his brother probably knows cuz he got a message from him on facebook asking for money... but i doubt its from sweeter home... i have seen this happen to a couple of frineds on facebook and they dont even have a droid...

When I first got my replacement mine clocked in at 48 seconds lol

That's about what mines doing... guess it just seamed faster at first (I was coming from WM, lol)

i've figured out how to completely stop any force closes. after EVERY edittheme i clear my cache with cachemate. my droid is blazing fast! it's almost like it knows what i'm gonna click on before i even click. amazing! i'm rooted tho so for all of you that aren't i'm not sure what cache you need to clear

SWEET!, I'll have to try this. Guess I'll go ahead and root (I was trying to wait till after the official 2.1), HRM, since your roote what are you running 2.1 or 2.0.1? I'm wondering if there's not something in the updated ROM that's making a difference. But I'll load it again.

There isn't much in the way of documentation. I've been learning through pure experimentation.

Sounds like you are trying to create a springboard. Step 1 is create the block that you want to hide/unhide. In edit mode create a new custom tray and make it the size and location you want. Then create a springboard (toward the bottom of the "Create New Block" menu. Again, make the springboard the size and location you want.

Long press on the springboard and select edit. Tap on "Controlled Blocks). You will see all of the trays and blocks that are on the screen. They will all have "no" next to them. Scroll to the tray you created in step 1 and change "no" to "yes".

Now I followed your directions and the Springboard worked!!!
I tried to get Pure Messenger widget but its not loading...
I want to be able to view my emails and I noticed that you could also have your SMS's, Twitters listed with this app.

What could I be doing wrong?

Make sure that when you add the widget you also tap on "configure" and go through the set up. That could be the problem.

On a side note, anyone having issues with Beautiful Home not updating? Since last night my BH clock will not update.

Do you mean the Email for PW app?
Also I am running PandaHome as another home app on my device (until I get this) and it setup OK...
Does that mean I do have or still have to search for the config app?

when you are in edit mode and you add the email for PW widget (I assume it's a widget as I've never actually used this app) you will see an option on the "configure block" screen called "widget configure". if the app is configurable then you can tap on "configure" and ruin through the options. If it isn't then you can't tap on it. And if this is the case then forget everything I've just said as I am clearly barking up the wrong tree!

i wish there was a way to do the editing on the computer and or a way to trun certain layers on and off so its easier to work... all in all i really like the options... still trying to figure out what the animation option is all about in the cutstom trays...? anoyone know? i set it for 1000 and dint see any change...

also.. where is everyone getting the pictures and stuff that they are using to cover up / hide application icons?

I have generated a few widgets that have a springboard so that it pops up on and off.
I set the widgets that are on the home screen to 5 for the layover.
I set the block with the springboard to 10 but the widgets that are permanent on the screen still appear slightly...

Am I correct in my thinking or am I doing something wrong?

I want the block with springboard to be solid when on.

This is just an idea since I don't use PW but some widgets freak out a little when they are on TWO different home apps. Even if you don't use both constantly, sometimes they don't like that. A lot of times its recommended that you remove all widgets from old home apps (including stock) when using a new one.

Just an idea.

YES! it is so much more customizable then home++... and if you like the power bar in home++ you can crate something pretty much the exact same with sweeter home... check out the vids on this page to see what you can do with it...

Well after trying and trying I got it to work. The Pure Messenger widget is now working.
You were right I found that even though I went into the configuration options within the widget I needed to do as you instructed and go in through the system widget box created through SweetHome...

With the customization that out there for this Home App (SweeterHome) it will be better than any home app out there. Only thing it needs is someway to hide the top status bar, like Home ++. After using SweeterHome I removed both Home ++, and DXTOP(paid app) from my system its that good! and its still in very early beta.
