Great. I have 2.1 now but not 1 damn feature of 2.1. No moving wallpapers. No 3d app bar. No voice to text. How I do I got back to my previous version so I can just wait.
1.2 is onmarket, ver 2 and other beta's are available, but right now by donation on xda-developers site, and the dev isn't taking donations at the moment, sorry.
I forced 2.1 and all went well. However, I went to the marketplace and tried to download Google Earth and keep getting the message "Download was unsuccessful, please try again". Suggestions?
Just installed it on my Droid. Couldnt be easier. Even half asleep sitting at my desk at work, I got it done.
And for people downloading the update directly from the Droid browser to your Droid, when I did it, it put the update into the "download" folder. It needs to be cut and pasted one directory up. That may be why some people can't find it or its having trouble installing.
Can't get it to work. I get the /!\, but there are no selections... nothing. Just the image. Tried it six times in a row and got the same result. What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong? I downloaded the file directly to my droid and when prompted to "save as" I typed in update.zip. I checked it out in my astro file manager and the icon next to it is an open box with three sheets of paper standing up in it. Then I followed the instructions and I still got the message that said aborted file not found.
I am rooted, but on 2.0.1. My recovery console is Nandroid, can I just run the update.zip file from in there? I don't really care if it unroots me for now, I just want to know if I can/can't do it this way.
If we force update will we still receive a notification from Verizon to update. If so what will happen. Are there any consequences to force updating???
