unzip the contents into a folder and run the exploit, make sure your phone is on, plugged into your computer, and under settings/development USB debugging is turned on :)

OK, that worked for me, got bootstrap working. Now to backup? All I need to do is push the bootstrap backup button? I did and it says "success". Is that all it does?

First you bootstrap recovery, then you reboot recovery, that's where you will make your backup :)

great. so once I do both and on main menu click on backup and restore, then backup? Its working now, so once I get this done I can start flashing ROM's?

ok, thats weird. Just tried taking a screenshot pic with the screenshot app and when it did a small message appeared and said at first is: error fb0 is your phone rooted

then when I reopen the app it says that: ScreenShot only works on rooted phones

Its worked before in the past when I was bone stock?
Did you cigurd itout yet?

ya, got root to work, bootstrap working, made a backup, installed Titanium Backup pro and running backups now. Anything else I need to do?

If you are still stock root I would do the forever root and then back that up that way if we get the update you can just go back to that and get OTA without loosing root.

OK, you got a link to the forever root? Got too many dang windows open and too much going on right now to even think straight LOL

Edit: nevermind, I had downloaded it earlier and had it already LOL So it says I am forever rooted now. Now to make sure I have backup'd everything before I flash any new roms. Whats the best one out there?

Droid Bionic » -Maintain Root Through any Update (Bionic) with Forever Root! Here you go do it then make backup remember where it is Then when OTA comes out you can go back and get it and not loose root

Ok, when I make a backup do I just do system data? Does it override last backup or make a seperate entry? thanks for all the help guys. Getting ready to go to work so wont be able to flash any roms till tomorrow. I will check back in here once I get to work to see anyones response.
