I hope it comes out in early february so I can cancel my droid 2 global before my 30 days is up(I signed up jan 7th, sick of att) and resign with the thunderbolt.

Its 14 not 30 days anymore.

SWEET JESUS!!! Are they HIGH?!?!
It's not even a dual-core phone! I was hoping more for the $199 price range or so. And with it also saying that they can sell the phone for whatever they want, who wants to bet they prolly bump up the price a little?
Errr, ok, Verizon...I'll pay it this ONE time but I hope that they don't come out with another HTC phone that I'll want even more a little later...

lol look for the next high end HTC phone to come out Q4 2011 and thats not all that far away at all! maybe even late Q3

An unfortunate set of circumstances mean I have to go with the droid r2d2 unless amazon doesn't get any of them in stock by the time the thunderbolt is out

So, this thought just occurred to me. Im getting SO sick of my Eris to the point I wanna throw it across the room most times. I found a deal on Craigslist I may jump on, An original Droid 1 for $80. I could buy the Droid for $80 and handle having that til the Thunderbolt is released and than use the VZW Trade-In deal to get $132 to go toward the purchase of the TB. My question is this. Does anyone on here that frequently posts on this thread still have the D1? And if so, is it still a good phone(good enough to get through til March or whenever the TB gets released)? Im just wondering if I should jump on this deal or not. Would anyone else do this if you had the chance?

I also have an OG Droid and it's definitely a great phone. I agree with what one of the other guys said, just load CM and you should be golden. I run CM7 which is based on GB. I love it.

I have a D1 and I suggest that you buy the D1, root it, and put Cyanogenmod on it. That should last you for a while. I also suggest you try out the Zeam launcher-- it's fast and full of features.

Well, I took the plunge and picked up a Droid 1 for $100 from Craigslist earlier today, rooted it and I couldn't be happier, man this phone is fast(compared to the Eris anyways). I feel like I could actually hold onto this phone for a while til the 4G phones get released! Thanks for the suggestions to go ahead and do it!

Sorry to sound like a d*ck but the D1 talks belong in the D1 forums lol. I am here to talk about how much better the TB is than all other phones lol..so GTFO with that D1 blab lol...
