I can't help but laugh at those who try to pump the Bionic over the Bolt

And I am loving this TBolt. Faster and smoother than my old Droid, and my battery life is nowhere near the horror stories others have been saying. Yeah, there are issues every now and again with it draining when its not on Wifi, but with the news out of Moto's camp today, I'm now convinced thats a problem with Verizon and not the TBolt. Once 4G is turned on here, I shouldn't have any problems (I'm literally going to be in the middle of an area thats about 50 miles to each side that will have LTE... my signal will be very strong).

What's funny is u bought a Thunderbolt in an area with no 4G and you are experiencing battery life problems, wait till u have that option you better have a charger for work and home use.

I don't know what you are talking about. I have 4g and my battery life is just fine. No different than it was with my X.

I really don't understand all this "my phone is better than your phone" nonsense. All the phones have benefits and negatives. I've had them all and it's a matter of what you want to do with it. Myself I prefer not having a locked bootloader... but that's me. Many could care less and that's fine. If you enjoy whatever phone you have that's all that matters.

What's even funnier/sad for Tbolt users, your phone just went on sale for $179.00 Amazon.com.

Dropping like a stone in water. Wonder why?

mmmmmm

Because its been out for a month and thats the usual progression of pricing?

Nothing unusual with that price drop. Its actually the same price I got mine for 2 weeks ago.

AGREED, currently its the Thunderbolt making the others bow down :icon_ banana: . FWIW I just made it 24 hours on a single charge, on 4G the whole time, I leave WiFi off since its not as fast as 4G.

Which makes it even worse, you can keep your thunderbolt. The fact the G2X is out, this summer the Evo 3d will be released, and despite these speculations over motorola, they will release the bionic. All of which are technically superior to the thunderbolt. AGAIN for the 100th time the thunderbolt is a good phone, but paying 180 and up just for a fast internet connection on the go? No, I need some specs to back my phone purchase up other then internet speed test.

You certainly realize that is with a 2 year contract, not full price.

But what I wonder is why you have such an interest in the Thunderbolt. It seems as though you want to attack it, and I wonder why you have such passion over it. Do you also own one and didn't like it, or are you upset that you can't afford to buy the new phones when they come out?

I used to own the D1 and I loved it. I also liked the D2, the DX and now the Thunderbolt. But I certainly don't feel the need to attack phones I don't own. (Because if you think about it... does it make any sense? LOL)

What is the source of your passion? Are things that boring over in the D1 threads?

I get a kick out of all you guys spouting off about what phone is great (that isn't out yet) and phones that are outdated (1 month old... lol). What is the big deal anyway? If some new awesome phone comes out I will buy it... no biggie! It's usually the guys that can't afford to buy the new phones that are so passionate about a few meg of ram... lol.

It's nothing to get so excited over. I like the Thunderbolt, but if something comes along that I think I want, I'll buy it. I'm not concerned about 2 year contracts. Everyone would be much happier if they would just buy the new phones when they come out. Then they wouldn't need to flex their internet muscles so much.

How much do you really know about dual-core vs. Single core performance specifically in these phones and how much are you talking out if your ass? How many applications can actually take advantage both cores? Wont that be a while before things start to get integrated? I feel the 1gz chip in the tb is plenty fast for the applications needed

It's funny isn't it? These kids all jumping up and down comparing their wee wee size. Then fighting over fractions of centimeters.

If you ran through the whole Droid series of phones within a year then maybe android isn't for you, or at least Motorola isn't for you. I'm suprised it took u three phones to jump ship. If you want to blow a couple of hundred on smartphones every 3 months then no one stopping you. Seems like a waste of money. My main complaint is the hardware inside the thunderbolt is from mid 2010 and the only tying bringing it to today's standards is the network. Not the phone, I buy a phone for what its capable of, hardware wise. Not everyone is me though, and Verizon marketing this as a "high end phone" is a complete lie.

Actually I know if the thunderbolt had dual core processors they would draw less power which means less heat and heighten battery life, also making it more efficient. Not only would it fly through today's applications but also be ready for the future when applications inevitably start using dual core as an advantage.
