The steps work, try them. (Smart action only set for battery extender).

This is SEVERAL hours on twitter, streamed 6 YouTube videos, hundreds of texts today (200 with one chica), 5 phone calls, a few emails, web browsing, instagram, Google+, and NFL.com fantasy football app. (Gsam battery monitor in case you're wondering what app that is). I actually use my phone a lot during the day, also because I was off. 4G on when I wasn't at home as well..
Anyone else having their battery life tank after ics? I went from 20 hour talk time to 8 hour talk time....spent 2 hours on the phone with Motorola support and got absolutely no where
Holy hamburgers batman!!! Thats as many texts as I do in a month..
Sorry but I don't understand how to do factory reset

I use my Maxx consistently all day from checking social apps and weather to listening to the radio and making calls. I am never below 50% battery before midnight, and that's moderate to heavy use. I did experience bad battery life when I first updated to ICS though.

My Razr went from two full days of battery to less than a day. In another thread I figured how to turn a few things off. Someone also suggested I download Juice Defender which I did and it seems to help. It's kinda maddening though that I have to download an app for the battery. I don't like the way Juice Defender shuts everything off either. When I want to use something it takes several minutes to get "reconnected" also on my Pandora when the screen shuts off it apparently shuts off Pandora. The current "event" (I only listen to comedy channels) keeps playing but when that one is over, it won't go to the next one unless I turn the thing back on by hitting the buttons twice (the one swipe was so much easier) go to Pandora and hit the forward button.
Please Android fix this or at least let me go back to the old version, what ever it was. The old one was so much better and easier to use.
