If you have Google set to backup your contacts, they will auto-populate. You can also turn on Backup Assistant from the Contacts Menu selection and then choose "Sync Now". That will provide a full backup to the Verizon servers so that when you restore, it will re-populate them.
You may also wish to download and install
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...hu.CallLogBackupRestore&feature=search_result, and
https://play.google.com/store/apps/....SMSBackupRestore&feature=more_from_developer. Both will allow you to restore your call logs and SMS messages in their original state after the reset as well. Just make sure that if you plan to wipe the internal memory card, when you run these two utilities that you go into the menu, preferences, backup folder selection and change the backup destination from /mnt/sdcard/CallLogBackupRestore/ to /mnt/sdcard-ext/CallLogBackupRestore/, and do the same on the SMS utility and change /mnt/sdcard/SMSBackupRestore/ to /mnt/sdcard-ext/SMSBackupRestore. Also, make sure you don't choose to wipe the external memory card. Better safe than sorry, simply remove it before the restore.
