ICS on the MAXX

Is anyone else is noticing that there is less memory available to run apps in ICS. Since the update it looks like I have lost about 100mbs to the OS. I feel like there has been pros and cons of upgrading. So whens Jelly Bean coming out? Lol!

Yeah there are some issues that need fixed and some tweaks to be made.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. I guess that's y our phones needed at least a gig of ram to run ics. Is ics using the extra ram or is it just a bug???? And can it be fixed with an update?? Or would Moto even bother updating it?? I read earlier on DROID life that HTC is already looking at what phones they can put jellybean on, does anyone think Moto will do the same, so would it be possible that maybe Moto would just update us to 4.1 and hopefully fix the issues with that update, instead of trying to push another ics bug fix ota to us. Anyone think this would be likely or are we just done all together??

You actually do not need 1 gig of ram to run ICS. OG Droid has ICS running and its definitely not 1 gig

Anybody else upset with the taking away of going straight to the camera from the lock screen and having a pin lock. I am trying out go locker right now. You can go straight to the camera from the lock screen but you have to type in the pin to. Its a little inconvenient but oh well. Also go locker flashes and makes a sound when you unlock that you can't disable.

Change your security settings. Select the slide lock and you can go straight to camera, texting, unlock, or call

For those interested I found that the app to toggle LTE on/off for Thunderbolt also works for the Razr Maxx.

What is chris talking about???

What I am talking about is being able to slide to unlock and have the pin too. In ginger bread that's how it was. You also use to be able to slide to the camera and take pictures but you needed to enter the pin to actually look at the pictures.

The Subscribe to Visual Voice Mail advertisement button on the voice mail screen is offensive at best.
Is there anyway to nuke this?

Agreed!!! I too went with Google voice for 2 reasons ...

1. The stupid Visual Voice Mail button
AND
2. VZ Voice Mail requiring a PIN.

I was interested, but Verizon just turn 4g on here. I now have it my whole commute from home to work... awesome!
my small town has hardly any congestion making it really zippy here...

Alright, I set the lock screen to pin and reinstated widgetlocker. It works a lot than go locker. I still have to type in the pin to go to the camera from the lock screen, but at least I can go straight to it. Added a beautiful clock / weather widget and I am good to go.
