Ics soak test has begun!!!!!!!!

I signed up last night and got my invite this morning. I'm rooted, running .905 with LauncherPro Plus...will I need to remove LPP, since it modifies the number of launch screens, number of icons per row, etc.? I had used it to hide several programs too but already removed that tweek...

No, you shouldn't have to remove LPP, assuming it is compatible with ICS.

Received an invite to participate in the soak test today. Filled out the survey monkey. Last page said i was a good candidate for the test. Never rooted device before, everything still stock.. we will see. I am on my 3rd device. Finally got one w/ very limited data drops or issues other than i dropped it and had to have the glass replaced!

I have been apart of 4 soaks with different devices all of them I got confirmation email 1-2 hrs before update came through and all but my XOOM it was exactly 1 week from invite to soak. So if this stays the same hopefully it will come friday

So your assuming that we will get the update 1-2 hours before the actual update is pushed OTA?

Um, what? That made no sense at all. I'm saying the soak test should start Friday afternoon. I said nothing about OTA. That won't happen for a week after soak.

Ah, there we go. POSSIBLY. They send out soak tests in small batches each hour, so, depending on where you are in the "list", you'll get it sometime between Friday (ASSUMING it starts on Friday, that is) and whenever the soak test ends. USUALLY the OTA follows a week behind the soak.

noob quesiton, but couldn't seem to find any clear details. where do you sign up so that Motorola will know you want to be involved with beta/ soak tests. is there a specific web page? or do they just like "find you"?? only email i know i gave them was to be a developer at some point i think.
