That doesn't necessarily mean ANYTHING. It's obviously up there by mistake since no one has gotten ICS OTA and that pdf says it's available and encourages everyone to download it. So if it's existence online is a mistake, it's contents are not verified either. Someone may change that 6 to a 7 and republish that next week.

Plus, what is this header or library that references JB in 247 exactly? Other than the reference what exactly makes anyone think it's necessary for that to be there to get JB? What makes anyone think that it being there actually means we will get JB for sure?? Either of those are assumptions it seems to me. 247 could still come later, perhaps just before any JB release. Or surely JB could still come out even if 247 never does, if that's not true, please tell me exactly why it would NEED that change in 247 to get JB?

You honestly don't understand how the operating system works the reason why you want 247 is because it has a jelly bean patch without that jelly bean patch chances of getting jelly bean is 1 to 1000 also without that jelly bean patch they have to do a full recompile of the jelly bean update which will take up to 4 to 5 months now verses the partial recompile that they would have to do with 247 and the partial recompile would only take 2 to 3 months and our support window closes in March

A: there is no reason why they couldn't roll out 247 at a later date after 246 B: Why can't any contents of that patch just be included with a JB ROM? If that patch already exists, why does it take months and months of development to get JB working simply because that patch doesn't make it into THIS OTA release.

No attitude intended. At least no more than was shown to me.

All I asked for was an explanation of the contents of the patch. There's a LOT of insider information on Android forums, much completely useless. Not saying this inside info is useless, just saying I've seen nothing to give it more merit than any other random, "just trust me" comments on online forums.
