Yes. It'll start tomorrow afternoon EST. You'll likely get confirmation emails overnight or tomorrow morning. But...seeing is believing. Right?

It's not that I'm forgetting something. It's that I have not been shown any evidence that this speculation is anything more than just speculation. I do not trust random voices on the internet. I like being evidence based. Sorry.

I didn't forget. I just have no patience left today for arguing with people.

I'm not trying to argue. I'm just asking for a technical explanation, a link to another discussion, anything to understand why this assumption is being made. Seems darn trivial to me to make an update for 246 that has whatever changes that 247 has in it if indeed 247 can't be applied to phone running newer than 905 builds.

This talk just doesn't jive with what I know about software development. Perhaps there are specific issues with Android I'm not getting, but no one who has a clue is doing a good job of explaining them if so.

Yes. People have NO CLUE what it takes to do what he does. None at all. I have a little bit of info on it and trust me, nothing we give him is enough. Guy is freaking awesome. Our community owes him a debt whether some people want to admit that or not.

On the Dan thing. I think we all owe him $10 for every phone we've ever rooted, but that's just me.

Yes. Those new RAZR phones were unrootable. He went through TREMENDOUS effort to find a working exploit for them. He says we're running out of avenues for root exploits. Android 4.2 is going to make it even harder (damn near impossible). People need to start thinking about ponying up for developer phones or they're going to be left out of the phone modding game...sad reality.

I HAPPILY donated to that campaign and cannot believe how much crap he took over it!
