Just got an OTA from Moto this am

So can anyone tell me why I can't update to 5.7.893?

I was on 5.6.893 and had to flash back to stock. I used dhackers guide to get me back and rooted again. Tried downloading and applying the 5.7 update and get the status 7 failure. Then I tried applying the 5.6 update and that failed as well

Once you take any update you have to apply each one individually, 5.5, 5.6 then 5.7. I think if you go further into the thread there might be a way to do it without doing all three

For what it's worth. My phone is stock 5.5.886 non rooted. I bought my bionic 1.5 months ago had data drops only for the first month, then just like that data issues ended. I decided not to jump into the leaked race this time around and endured non root bloated phone waiting for the ota. I think the data drops are mostly all area network issues due to verizon updating towers/ network as I've done nothing to phone and issues have gone away.
After ota, I will root but remain stock until after ICS, then I will play. Hopefully by then a miracle happens with a unlocked bootloader. That would make this phone a monster, like my orig Droid was/is.

Only other issue with phone is ext sd card not being utilized by phone like it should be. That and the crappy camera sensor/ software. Bionic is epic other then that.

+1. Im stock rooted.. any time i had data problems..i called verizon and before i even spoke to anyone an automated voice told me they were aware of 4g phone related problems in my area... this phone is beast.. i love the feel of it at 1.2ghz.. we just need the cpu scaling to work.. so it doesnt roast the battery so quick haha.. but at @ 1.2ghz i out antutu'd/linpacked/cfbenched the Gnex, Rzr and rezound. On a stock bionic with root and bootleg overclocking. Not bad!

Tried applying each one and then just the 5.7 update. All fail validation and u get the status 7 error.

I am...went back to stock (except kernal) and rooted using dhackers guide.. I can confirm in rooted as I used titanium to restore apps

Correct. I noticed the system and radio were dialed back to 5.5.893 but the kernal wasn't, which I expected. Hooked up my bionic to the PC, ran option 1, and then tried to update to 5.7 via stock recovery.and failed validation.

Who knows...i guess I can try it again...im wondering if its because my radio was stock and my kernal was 893 it gave me issues. I think most people have the Kernal and radio match, not sure how I ended up like that

Ok I'm lost! I didn't read EVERY page, but this dude said he got the OTA, is he the only one in the country that did? I didn't see mention of anyone else that did...is this dude for real? Why would u roll it back if u got OFFICIALLY updated?? What am I missing and is 5.7.893 looking to be the moto release??
