Just got an OTA from Moto this am

5.5.893 system and radio, rooted. 5.6.893 Kernal and unable to flash anything due to failing validation

glad to see more people on here from TN...or at least fans ...but now to your problem..you need to get the zip that was floating around here that will get your system to 5.6.893 as well then you can upgrade to 5.7.893...thats what I had to do to get mine to work and it is just a system zip to flash in cwm....and I can't find the file to save my life :angry::angry: hope this will get you headed in the right direction though

Here you go guys I found this zip for you you flash it in CWR and it will get you to 5.5.893 then you can go from there FULL_CWR_893_update - Minus.com

Sorry I thought I found the miracle cure

Loaded up ROM manager, chose bionic, then selected the file. Rebooted into CWM and it hours through the entire patching process and then restarts the bionic and all my icons and wallpaper is still there. So I try and boot into recovery and apply the 5.6 and 5.7 updates....no dice

This is why I still haven't flashed the 5.7.893 TBH.

I thought I was done with this thread but had to come back and read more lol. I did what I did for the forum. I had no problem rolling it back as I had two bionics sitting there. If I messed one up bad enough that one was going back to moto. Also, unlike some of you I ain't scared, I have no problem being the test dummy to help everyone else out. At the moment I reinstalled purity rom through cwm and it upgraded me to 5.7.893.
I have no problem just Modding and waiting. Plus I can't stand a basic anything. But that's just me........

Holy Crap...
I was hoping After all of that reading, I would have found the answer. I've been stock rooted waiting for this update for two months now. Supposedly a lvl2 Operator is supposed to call me today to see if I got my update, and if I haven't she was going to send me a new phone...

And since you seem to be the absolute voice of authority regarding this topic, care to back your statement up?

I ask because you show nothing to prove your statement, at least OP provided us a screenshot.

I am nott saying an update hasn't been released. I was lectured on how you don't have to be a soak tester to get it early, this may all be true, but as a soak tester we are supposed to be notified when the test is coming. None of this has happened. I still check for update every time I can. I try to check this thread to see if anyone else has got it but my data connection keeps dropping. No one else has got it apparently, no magic update here. I got bionic not knowing if I would like it, but it grows on you. If update fixes most problems, especially data drops, then I am keeping it. Come on soak test!
