LauncherPro Beta (SUPER FAST & SMOOTH Launcher!)

Lately there are just too many issues with LP. Each release, it gets more complicated. You need a PhD to tune it. You don't hear a lot of chatter about problems with ADW. It just works. I appreciate all the work the developer of LP is doing. He is super responsive and an incredibly talented coder. Hopefully the product will stabilize, and 2.2 will resolve some of the memory issues. I would prefer if LP went back to its roots of being simple, fast and stable.

Yup been saying this for the last month. Too many settings. Too many issues. Too much lagging and way too many FC's. I have had at least 10 LP FC's in the last week. The whole time I have owned my Droid (since Dec) I have only ever had a few FC's total. I think I am gonna go back to whatever version was right before my birthday (6/16). I remember this because we were on vacation at the OBX and I remember after doing the update the issue started and go worse with each subsequent update.

Same here. Just today alone, I've had 11 FC's. I absolutely love LP and don't want to be without it so I think I'm gonna give in and go back to an older version. Which older version is everyone liking?
TIA. Have a fantastic day!

I'm gonna go back to version 4.3 for a bit and see how that works.

with the latest LP update, i went to 1 screen. changed it to 5 rows, and here you are, everything i need on one screen. all icons are on the dock.

OK, so what is the Calendar widget you are using as well as the power control like widget?

(This is something I posted on Fede's Forum. I copied and pasted it from there to here. So... Yeah.... Awkward...)

Here's a problem:

This is related to the latest version of LauncherPro.

New one--notifications. Ever since the new feature to customize what the Home button does, I've had an issue with the notifications. I have my Home button to "Show/Hide the Notification Bar." I also have LauncherPro set to Hide the Notification bar by default. Also, I have the Home button disabled to bring me back to the default Homescreen. This way, all I have to do if I want to view notifications is press the Home button on any Homescreen. So, here is the issue. When I get a sms message while the phone is sleeping, it WILL make the LED light blink, and it WILL make the ringtone, but as soon as I Unlock my phone to go to the Homescreen, the LED will stop blinking. It will act as if I have viewed the notification. As a matter of fact, whenever I get a new notification, the LED doesn't blink. Even while I'm typing this. Even if I'm in another program, the LED doesn't blink as it should. (I just tested this). Any idea how to fix this?

The LED will only function properly if the phone is "Sleeping." I have the icon in the bar for a new SMS message, but no LED while I'm using the phone for any program. It only works while sleeping.

The LED doesn't work at all unless the phone is sleeping. Ex: Text notification. LED blinks; unlock phone--LED stops. Put phone back in sleep WITHOUT reading text message--LED works. It's sorta like a "flip on/off" thing. I know for a fact that the LED should function at all times regardless if the phone is sleeping or not.

I messed around with the settings, and couldn't fix it. I took off the action of the Home button to do nothing, I set up everything to the settings I had before 0.6.6, and couldn't fix it, I set it to show the Notification bar, I did everything. Uninstalled and re-installed. Restarted my phone, Restarted LauncherPro, all of that. No dice. I even tried using the Stock Launcher. Still have the problem. Since I haven't had this problem until the latest LauncherPro update.

This is how android 2.1 and 2.2 are designed to work...has NOTHING to do with LauncherPro.

Once the screen is on, the LED is disabled since any notifications would just show up in the notification bar up top (since stock launcher doesn't have an option to hide the notification bar).

Same as it ever was, this is not new. The LED has been disabled when the screen is turned on since android 2.1.

I have been having the redraw issue when coming out of data intensive apps. I noticed that under the advanced settings/memory settings/ the Clear Scrolling Cahe when opening another app was checked. I unchecked it, and haven't had a problem all morning. Not sure if it's a fix, but so far so good.

Oh, and no need to love me forevah...

Try messing with the Memory Usage in LauncherPro. I can't even remember the last time my launcher had to redraw itself. Works flawlessly.

The Power Control widget is SwitchPro Widget. You can have from 5-7 buttons and it has a choice of 19 different things to control. More information is available at SwitchPro Widget v1.8 Application for Android | Tools

That's not true. I've had it blink regardless if the screen was on or not before the update. It's only happened after I installed that.
