It really isn't that bad. It fits my hand well with the extended battery, and is a comfortable weight.
The only reason i don't use it any more is you can't find many decent cases that support it. The one that Verizon sells was actually pretty bad; if i dropped it, it popped off of the phone and pulled the battery back off with it, and on the second bounce, the battery popped out. This usually happened while i had it in the holster, and it would slip out on it's own. I'd pick the phone up, put it back together, and look at the fresh scratches on my phone, wondering why the hell i bothered with the case at all.
My Sedio Active doesn't have that problem...it just doesn't fit the extended battery.
Dude threads don't always stay on one topic. Every thread that I have been on has branched off to something completely different, so unless a moderator says other wise im sorry
If you consider the extra 1/8" "huge" then go with the Mugen Slim Extended battery. It'll fit in the OEM battery's spot and even uses the original cover. At 2000 mAh it's 700 mAh less than the Motorola, but only costs almost $20 more. At least it'll keep your Bionic slim.

If you look at the picture again, the top is on the right, which is the same thickness as with the OEM battery. Some don't like the extra 1/8", but I don't mind it.

The top is not the same thickness as the OEM battery. The stock battery is a bit smaller than the part at the top of the phone, so it slopes inward. With the extended, it slopes outward; the part that gets thicker is more than 1/8 inch thicker than what it replaces, but only makes the overall phone 1/8 inch thicker.
Makes the phone noticeably more substantial. It definitely feels like a big phone with it in.
That being said, if someone has questions about the extended battery outside of how it relates to this leak, i have to agree that we've figured a bit too far off topic and that should move into its own thread.
Personally, I'd say get it. It isn't that bulky, actually feels nice with the shape and weight (they went the extra mile to make it usable and not clunky), it only costs $25, and it's perfect for when you know you will not get regular access to a charger and will be using it more than normal.
