for all with led notifications have you tried light flow?
for all with messaging problems have you tried handcent or goSMS apps?
as far as the syncing with facebook, i had this same problem. it would link then when i ran the customizer again it would take the linking off but not allow me to do it again cause it already said it was linked... so pretty much i could only run the customizer one time and then leave it at that.
after a complete wipe of everything the first think i downloaded from the market would be facebook. then i would run the customizer and add facebook from that as well. when i went into the accounts i would click on the what it seem like smaller facebook icon (this is the one from the customizer) and link it that way. not with the facebook app linking way. there would be 2 or 3 facebook icons in the accounts linking part so you select the Facebook icon that seems the smallest.
after taking a picture and clicking on the small picture on the left hand side (still in camera) it will not allow me to share. but if i go through the gallery and select the picture to share that way it will work.

I know this is an issue with gingerbread itself, but is anyone working on a better fix for wifi tethering? I understand the current workaround involves the tbh fix. For me it works, but I still get the blue icon for the built in Verizon tethering program. My wifi tether works, but that extra icon makes me nervous about what information might be being sent to Verizon.
I know if you freeze the status bar app it will block the other program from opening. This has its own issues.
What I am wondering is if it is possible to replace the gingerbread status bar with the one from froyo.
I'm actually surprised that the wifi tethering hasn't been mentioned in this thread at all.

The way I get around this is after a fresh wipe/install, I SKIP the Google Sign-in on first boot. I then go set all my Android settings - including disabling backup/restore. Then I add my Google Account through Settings/Accounts. This seems to prevent any apps from being automatically installed. I did this when installing 2.0.1 and again last night when I went from 2.0.1 to GB 0.5.
Also, I went from 2.0.1 to GB 0.5 by queuing GB 0.1 and 0.5 w/ kernel (in that order) through the Donate Toolbox (and choosing both wipe & backup). It worked like a champ in terms of doing everything in one automated pass. It rebooted once: backed up, wiped, installed 0.1, then 0.5 w/ kernel and next boot was 0.5 heaven. I know this is how it is "supposed" to work but most things in this world don't work as smoothly as this did so I think it is worth an honorable mention.

Ok... I installed GB today and I've noticed a couple of things, my little LED light doesn't go off for notifications. Also the FB contacts thing.

3G/Signal issues, confusing nightly descriptions w/wo/kernel
I've seen several people mention problems I've had and I want to post to make it easier to find the answer:
I went 2.0.1 to LGB 0.1 to LGB 0.5 but was having the 3G/Signal issue after several wipes and reinstalls. Unfortunately even after reading several times I misunderstood the description in the Liberty Toolbox nightlies.
I was using the 0.5 from donate LT with the description:
This is now based on the newest leak. YOU MUST ALREADY BE ON GINGERBREAD! If you have not updated to the latest leak (591) then install this zip and then come back and install the kernel updates below.
Even though I read it several times I interpreted it to mean since I was on GB 0.1 install that, then install the 591 Kernel Update from LT.
Out of desperation, I downloaded this one:
This is now based on the newest lea. YOU MUST ALREADY BE ON GINGERBREAD! THIS ZIP INCLUDES THE KERNEL SO USE THIS IF YOU ARE ON ANY PREVIOUS LEAK.
Once I wiped and installed this, 3G started working.
So here's my advice/interpretation: if you're going 0.1 to 0.5 the zip file you want to flash from CWM is LGB-591-0.5-with-kernel.zip
I went back, wiped, updated with that from CWM and 3G is now working properly again.
I think a lot of people understood this but myself (and maybe others) misinterpreted the good advice.

There is a much easier way of doing this. When you first flashed LGB, sign in and you will be prompted with 2 (i think) check options at the buttom of the page. One says "restore to this device" and one says "back up this device to google account". You want to UNCHECK "restore to this device". Afterwards, when you open up market for the first time, it will not download all your apps.
I'm also having problems with the Sirius XM app. I updated to the 0.5 LGB nightly two days ago. SXM will not work on data...I get the channel name, logo and pad data, but no audio. However, when I connect to wifi, it works just fine.
I was previously on Liberty 2.0 and had no issues with SXM.
I am on V.5 nightly with kernel.
I am having trouble getting my contacts to sync with facebook profile pictures, but I believe that others are having this same issue.
I am also having difficulties adding the Astrid power pack widget to a home screen (this could be application/widget specific though).
I could not enter the accounts screen until i setup the phone with Liberty customizer, when pressed it would flip into the screen and immediately exit.
After clicking on Liberty Customizer i would start to download what it needed but if I rotated my phone and my screen turned the download would stop and i would end up at the 'do you want to download' screen.
Calendar would not sync/work until i chose the blur calendar in customizer.
I am not sure if gmail is syncing properly.....will report back on that later
Side note about the theme: I loved the theme or whatever that was on .1...i want that back!

I'm going from memory but IIRC FB would not allow Google to integrate the FB contacts into Google Contacts. Basically you end up with 3 contact lists internally that get linked together (phone, Google and Facebook). Because FB will not allow Google to merge that contact data into Google Contacts big G basically told them to piss off and as of Gingerbread they changed the way Android accesses/links (or doesn't link) FB contacts.
I did not let FB sync contacts after I wiped (having multiple contact lists sucked) so I haven't hit this, but I believe this is not a bug in Liberty but rather a "feature" of Gingerbread. Personally I wish FB would allow it because it would be handy (I'm too lazy to manually assign profile pictures to contacts, etc), but I understand why Google made the change (it completely craps on the user experience like this).
I'm pretty peeved like a pink pony, am no longer using Liberty again.
I made a call to my dad and hung up once finished. I then replied to a text message from my girlfriend. This text somehow was sent to my father's number instead! I'm 100% positive it was sent as a reply under her thread/name/number.
The text unfortunately contained damaging, private information. He is now in a rage and I'm in deep.. EVEN though it is clearly listed as a reply in my gfs thread he recieved it and she did not. All I can wonder is how many times this has happened to other people and you not known it. Forget this rom people.
Was on lgb 0.4 for the d2. Seriously give me my freaking donation back!
