Manually Update to 2.0.1

Ok, downloaded file to PC. Opened with IZArc, there are multiple files, how do I rename the whole file? It has extracted all the files.

Checked phone this morning and the Facebook user problem is still gone. It was definitely a problem with the Facebook site and not the phone

use another browser or change the settings in chrome...people need to read up on how a zip file works man it's not difficult...imagine packing stuff in a suitcase lol you dont need to unzip the suitcase!!!!!

Ok, now have the zip file saved to desktop. Will rename to update.zip. Sorry I'm not a super genius, but thanks for your help. NOW, when I mount my phone and install to the SD, does it need to go into a certain file, or just drop it into the sd?

BTW, I liked the old lock screen better. Don't know why, just did

See, I use the pattern lock, and I like the clock readout much better on this one. I do agree though, I liked the way the "wheel" operated better. However, this screen looks much better IMO.

Don't put it in a file. Just put it on the card. Then remove the device from the PC. Then follow the directions and the update will start

Ok my comp automaticlly unzips when I open it, I'm running chrome...... Any ideas?

You don't need to double click it. ever. From the chrome download bar, click the arrow next to it, click show in folder. then copy it to your desktop. Now single click on the file name, wait a second, then click on file name again. It will change to a field you can edit. Type "update". not update.zip. Now follow instructions to install.

Working fine after the update. Thanks for everyone who helped!

Phone feels much snappier now. Not that it was slow before or anything.

I really hate the new lock screen. The clock being offset just looks horrible.

Camera seems to open faster as well as go back to allowing you to take another pic faster. Doesn't seem to give the good preview then give you something else either. Focus seems about the same speed though. I don't know if they fixed the overall focus problems yet though. Have only shot a couple of pics.

Browsing the Gallery is way faster though.

Overall, other than the new lock screen, the update seems to be an improvement.

Thank You!

Overall (in the couple of minutes since I applied the update) things seem to have been generally improved. The calendar widgets look much better, Gallery and Camera seem faster and more responsive.

I have to partly agree with GadgetRick and some others though; I'm not crazy about the new lock screen. I don't mind the offset clock but I miss the 'rotary dial' lock, but then that's just the geek in me I suppose.
